i just remembered one of the pages on my own website isn't displayed properly by the windows version of safari. but this (which uses the same rendering engine) works fine. thumbs up to google for fixing apple's mistakes.

I like it, it's not what I'd use day in day out as I have various extensions in Firefox 3 that cannot be replaced for ease of use and simplicity (BBCode extension, FireFTP, AdBlock etc).

Be good to see it develop into something profound though.

The hyperactive truncated status bar that pops and fades all the time is a bit annoying

It's got cool drag-resizing of text input areas like Safari (see the arrow on the bottom right of the Quick Reply box on this page).

I'm quietly annoyed by Chrome - I doubt I'll be using it because I rely on Adblock Plus too much, yet professionally I'll have to get to grips with it because it'll be yet another browser platform that will have to be supported.

^yup, definitely needs adblock before i'll take it seriously. a few more options over tab control would be nice too.

I don't think I could use this day-to-day. It is too unprofessional. "Aw, Snap!" comes up when I simulate a tab crashing by terminating the process...

Is Google run by kids? :confused:

Click the top right spanner icon, go to options, then under the basics tab click show the home button on the toolbar.

Not had any crashes yet, been quite stable and fast actually.

Seems pretty fast to me as well and I'll continue using it for a few more days, before deciding to go back to Firefox or not, but impressed so far.

If you support Safari, you support chrome.

I must admit, I quite like it although whether it stays in the long term is by no means certain.

Right; I'm forcing myself to use the "bookmarks toolbar" (just what I'm used to calling it in Firefox) and admittedly it's not so bad. My only two issues now are ad blocking and CCleaner compatibility but these will no doubt come in due time.

Seems a lot of people on other forums I read are whinging non-stop about Google Chrome, different strokes I guess.
