Well the T&Cs say only valid for first 500, so they can just remove the moto 360 from the order or even just cancel the order if you weren't in the first 500.

Contract is only completed uppn dispatch, so until then they can do as they please pretty much.

It's only a good deal with the 360 so I'd probably cancel if I don't get one.

I would think you get one if it says so in the email conf as mine does.

It'll take them ages to reach 500 so I wouldn't worry. Only enthusiasts are really interested in pre-ordering Nexus devices.

I remember when getting the N4 that O2 were giving away a free TV to the first 100 contracts. I got my N4 about 3 or 4 weeks after launch and the TV I got is still going strong today!

That's handy to know, I know the nexus has a small following but I didn't really have any idea how far 500 orders would go.

Do these Android Wear Watches, such as the Moto 360, work with any Android phone, and does it work automatically upon syncing or does it run from some kind of app?

Any android phone, I know there is an app where you can upload more watch faces etc to the watch but I think it just generally syncs with google now so doesn't need an app running all the time.

Just had a thought, looking at some videos it looks like the watch is always listening. So there's nothing to stop someone nearby shouting Ok google, call such and such or generally messing with the watch from within audible range.

With the more recent iterations of Now, it's supposed to be 'trained' to your voice signature. Furthermore, you can customise the activation phrase (I've done this even with my Nexus 4) so they'd need to know your set phrase in order to get you in some automated trouble.

Why on earth are screen protectors such a talking point all of a sudden? does them being made of glass instead of plastic make them cool?

here's the best free screen protector which has worked for many many years and never failed :
don't put anything else on your phone pocket and keep phone screen side facing leg and never away from leg.

being made of glass makes them a lot better than the old plastic ones supposedly. But apparently the curve at the edge of the "2.5D" screen means glass screen protectors are made smaller and just stop before the curve leaving a lip, which is pretty rubbish. Only good for flat screened phones really.

I'm not sure where you get the idea that glass over plastic is cooler? I'm fairly sure a glass one will perform a lot better.

My phone gets knocked about a bit with the work I do, and £549 is a very big investment to me, so a few quid on a screen protector to protect my investment is peace of mind for me.

I am as strict as this all the time and yet my Moto G 2014 has a couple of scratches I can see, luckily on the plastic screen protector. Had I not had one then the front would be scratched.

No amount of pocket skills is going to stop some form of scratching on a screen unless it is protected.
