I am moving from a 4XL to a 5. Hopefully.i won't regret. Face unlock is not great with a mask that's for sure
We won't be wearing masks forever. Just put your pin in for now.
Pixel 5 is nice & I'm sure people will be happy with it. I just think it's a downgrade from the 4 XL.
Can't see masks going anywhere for at least 18 months but hey that's just my view
I have ordered the 5 and will pass the 4XL to the mrs. I like getting a new pixel each year. Having a similar size screen in a smaller frame and fingerprint reader certainly appeal

Agreed. Not to mention, if banks aren't going to support Face ID biometrics on Android after a year, now that its being abandoned by Google themselves, I'd say there was no chance at all it will ever be properly supported. This is the issue with being bleeding edge, it doesn't always work out. I wouldn't mind betting that the next iPhone brings back TouchID.

You also have to wait a minimum of 14 days after you receive the phone before you can claim
I think the resale value of the headphones will drop too , difficult to understand exactly what they mean by whilst stocks last, kind of implies this offer might cease before the stated end date.
I'd be pretty bummed if I pre-ordered and waited 14 days for them to say no sorry none left! If you're not receiving a phone delivered by the 15th it's maybe worth waiting till black friday deals if you can wait that long, or at least wait the 14 days until you've had confirmation you've been accepted so you can send it back. No matter if you order now or last week I think everyone has the same chance of getting a pair you'll just have to submit as soon as on the 29th of the month
Yes, it seems bizarre that there's no absolute clarity , at this point this absence of clarity is actively putting people off.
I'm concerned about this to, you have to enter your IMEI number to claim so you have to have the phone. I placed my order on the 1st but current delivery showing as the 27th, I suspect the headphones will be gone by the time i place my claim. If I find there is stock of the sage in a physical store I will buy and cancel my Google order.
Once you've received the phone, you have 14 days to return it no questions, assuming you ordered from a UK retailer and assuming you didn't break it in the meantime.
I'm assuming this 'while stocks last' is just a standard disclaimer, where Google have 'reserved' a certain amount of products with Bose based on predicted sales, with an option for more. If they sell twice their expected number of Pixel 5 phones, they'll call on the optioned headphones. If they sell twenty times the expected number of Pixel 5s, Bose might not be able to meet demand, hence 'while stocks last'.
Personally I wouldn't like it hanging over me, but I doubt the headphones will run out.
I would agree, thing is it's a helluva amateurish marketing exercise from Google, its pretty much tantamount to offering a product at a given price but the price may change and nothing you can do about it.
It's on pretty much EVERY offer ever done... by anybody...
Maybe I`m sensitive to this as I kinda fancy yet another Pixel, but surely at the point of parting with your money you should be informed as to whether the stocks had run out.
