100% happy with the screen
100% happy with the performance (could be faster but this isn't a £1000 device)
100% happy with camera quality
Completely happy with my upgrade over the Pixel 2. Face ID or whatever it's called could have been nice to try, as would an under glass fingerprint scanner but really not a big issue.
Oh, and the battery is amazing

Coming from a OnePlus 6T, the only scenario where an in-screen fingerprint scanner is an advantage is when it is flat on its back on a desk, otherwise they are just nowhere near as good as a rear mounted scanner

I think he's either referring to Pixel being the only choice or there not being an XL version this year.

Things have moved on since the 6. 8 pro works pretty well. Basic Face unlock via the front cam is great.

Try removing the Facebook app and using the web version through your browser. Don't know if they changed it, but the Facebook app "used" to do questionable things whilst in the background. Could just be hearsay though.
I clicked on the order url from my shipping confirmation email and took a screenshot of the order page with the phone serial number on and everything and submitted that.
Pretty sure that's what I already did. But have done as you have said and see what happens. Thanks.

Have you tried restricting the background battery usage of certain apps like facebook. Go to "settings" > "apps and Notifications" > "see all" . select the app eg "facebook" > "advanced" > "battery" > "background restrictions" and change to restricted. Do it on facebook , insta etc , see if things improve.
I printed order status as pdf document. And also sent email pdf print out of the order as well.
