Google Pixel 6/6 Pro

Had my iphone 12 and pixel 6 with me today, ee sims, out in the peak district, iphone 2 bars on 4g streaming music fine.

Pixel 6 coudlnt get a signal, really is pathetic, thats with the latest Android Beta 13 QPR1

Only issue I have with mine is if I connect Bluetooth headphones to it, and then I get a notification through on WhatsApp the notification tone gets stuck in a loop until I restart the phone. Doesn't matter if I disconnect the Bluetooth device it continues the looping notification tone on the phone speaker.

Is anyone able to test and see if they get the same issue? Normal pixel 6 if it makes any difference.

Currently got mine sat in the draw with a cracked screen (still useable) put it in the draw after I had a iPhone given me for my work phone, don’t know wether it’s worth getting the screen fixed and selling, sell with the screen cracked for someone to try and fix as think most people will hold out for the 7 now if they want a pixel and replacement screens seem abit on the pricey side.

Just wondering from those of you who have owned a pixel 6, how reliable is it? Need to change my iPhone X and can’t justify the price of any iPhone these days.

Are there any posts in this thread demonstrating camera quality in photos?
Trying to compare with current Mate 20 Pro
Not a demonstration as such, but the DXOmark scores tell a story

I have a P30 pro and a Pixel 6 pro. The P30 pro's zoom is better, and its macro mode is MUCH better than the Pixel.
The image stabilisation for video on the 6 pro is absolutely incredible.
Here's a video I shot off a 2 man rubber duck in some pretty choppy sea conditions. You can see in the video the fixed aerial and the bow of the duck moving around...

Thanks so much for this!

I was thinking this anyway, Iv waited for the IPhone 14 news and prices already hoping the 13 would come down to a sensible value. So another month, for more detailed news on the pixel 7 fine.
I think it's only Google that's left to release this year, so it's looking like my only choice is Pixel 7 as the iPhone 14 still has the notch from 2018.

I'm considering the OnePlus 10T but have seen a lot of complaints about Oxygen OS.

Strange issue recently. When using the jdsports app, when i try to add something to the basket, i get an error message. " Problem connecting to %1$s please try again later".
If i try with my wife's s10, no issue and item goes into basket.
It does this whether i am connected by wi-fi or mobile. No vpn in use. I have cleared cookies, cache, data. I have uninstalled and reinstalled the app but issue persists.
There are no anti virus apps or any other app i can see that could or should cause this issue.
Anyone any idea of a setting that could cause this to happen. Cheers.

Got a 6 coming today on 2 year contract after swearing off contracts a few months ago - however the 'man maths' sort of worked out to do the upgrade 'free' ;)

Current - Pixel 4 with PAYG sim for 30GB data (unlimited social) at £10 month so £240 over 2 years.

New one will be be 250GB data and £29 month so £696 over 2 years. There is £40 TCB and £144 redemption which brings it down to £512 for the 2 years. There is a free chromebook offer (RRP £339) and I have my Pixel 4 to sell, between those, should clear about £300 minimum, so down to £212 which is under my current cost for 2 years staying as I am.

Just hope the issues i've read about don't affect me but i'll be happy to get away from the limited Pixel 4 battery life regardless.

Thanks for reply. No ad blocker. We are on different networks, i am in id mobile using 3, she is with virgin mobile but as you mention it does this also when using WiFi.
Another possible issue is maybe some sort of incompatibility with Android 13. Hard to say what the exact issue is though since it could be anything. And the S10 won't be getting Android 13 so you can't test that theory either.

EDIT: Actually looking at the reviews of the app, it's not just limited to the Pixel, seems a bunch of other phones are affected. I suspect they only tested the app with only the "popular" phones which could be why it's fine on the S10.

Thank you, i never thought to look at app reviews but having just done so can see it is a common issue at the moment. Thanks again. Cheers.
