Google Pixel 8/8 Pro & Pixel Watch 2

Anyone had WiFi and Bluetooth issues recently ?

My phone is ok when home on the WiFi but then when I leave and it disconnects from my home WiFi next time I try to connect to a WiFi the WiFi is turned off, I toggle it on and it doesn't scan and then turns the WiFi off ?.... The only way to connect to WiFi is to restart the phone ?
I don't think so. I have noticed occasionally that it will connect to WiFi but nothing will load or load very slowly. A toggle off and on of the WiFi resolves it. I put it down to it switching between WiFi 5 and WiFi 6 usually when I went outside or similar.

Not had any problems connecting to WIFI but I have had problems regarding my Goggle home app saying I cannot control certain devices because I'm not connected to the same WIFI network which I presume is because my phone is on 5Ghz and the devices are on 2.4Ghz. But some of the ones I cannot control are on 5Ghz also. Really annoying.

I lose Spotify premium features if I stream to my Google home devices and also get adverts, anyone else had this? It's fine if playing on device

Tried unlinking the account and relinking but no joy.

It worked fine up until a day or two ago, no idea if it's the recent update or what.

Is anybody having problems editing sent messages on Whatsapp? I recently tried to edit a typo in a message and when I selected edit, all I could see was the keyboard and my messages all behind a grey box (?) - the message I wanted to edit didn't appear.

I get that in the car if I use the voice assistant. It's like it's using a guest account instead of the personal account.

No mine still works as before and I'm not on the Beta channel. I used it today. I only found out 2 days a go you only have 1 hour to edit a sent message.

I'm thinking of picking up the pixel 8 pro to replace my 11T pro. What are the pro's and cons of the 8 pro that I need to consider? I'm not in a position to get the pixel 9, as I'm on a sim only contract, so I'm paying outright for the phone. TIA

I have the 8 Pro and the battery life is great (for me) The screen is very bright, the face unlock is brilliant, the fingerprint reader is better than on my old Pixel 6, nice size to it. The camera is amazing also.
I can't think of any cons, anything that has annoyed me with it was software related and I was able to turn off feature etc.
Most features for the 9 filter down to the 8 Pro after time too.
I love it and won't need to upgrade for a good while I think :)
I went from Nexus 5>Pixel 2XL>Pixel 6>Pixel 8 Pro

That's good to know! Thanks for your help too. I want as close to a stock android experience as possible, as the xiaomi 11t pro is terrible for bloatware.

Pixel 8 pro is the best phone I've owned. Bought it to replace my 6 pro just before the 9 series came out. Got a great deal on it.

I honestly can't really fault it. Great battery, screen and camera. Latest version of pure android with long period of updates. Nice premium feel to it too. Can't go wrong in my opinion.

I skipped the 9 series because I honestly think my 8 Pro is perfect as it is, and I may well skip the 10 (X?) series this year, too - which is unusual for me as I generally upgrade every year and can't remember the last time I took a phone into year 3.

Seem to be suffering with a bit of extra battery drain recently with Google Play Services in the background.

Nothing has really changed that I know of, only system and app updates and I can't find a culprit for it.

Anyone else? Or any ideas? Don't really want to reset it if it can be helped.
