You mean flippable?Still well within the "look at me cool toy bracket."
A downgrade in everyway over a pixel pro 7 other than screen size and cool.
The only people I know with foldable phones are all the woman at work that want a smaller phone for their pockets.
There must have been a Samsung sale on in Sweden...![]()
I don't like folding phones. They needs a solution to get rid of that crease first.Interested to see how this turns out. May 10 at I/O.

Is that their catchphrase flip, could be fold flip yeah I guess it's flipYou mean flippable?
Yes it is. You can use it as a phone and convert to tablet. Price is too high because demand for folding phones are less. So they are making few units. They are very niche, which is probably why they are priced so high.

They're expensive because there's multiple components versus non-foldables. You have two batteries, two screens, additional camera sensor on the inside and I imagine large foldable screens aren't cheap.
The crease is there due to implications on the design used. Tear drop hinges produce the smallest crease, but at the cost of thickness. The Pixel Fold is a half way house between tear drop and Samsung, which is probably why those who have had hands-on with it at the launch event state the crease is better than Samsung but not as good as the Oppo Find N2 Fold.
The Oppo Find N2 is a good 20% thicker when folded through.
Yes they are. I will buy one once they sorted the crease, ipx and screen protector issues. And the fact that folding phones are an engineering marvel.
There is a screen protector issue?Yes they are. I will buy one once they sorted the crease, ipx and screen protector issues.
Probably talking about earlier folds where if you peeled it off, the screen is much more easily damaged? Pretty sure that was fixed with the second fold where it's tucked under the bezels now, and other foldables learnt from that too and did the same. There is a screen protector issue?
Hoping this is a more durable revision but we'll see next year.Ultra-thin glass with protective plastic layer
Buy a more expensive laptop. Problem solved.I'm so keen to get the Pixel Fold but always set myself a rule that I'll never pay more for a phone than a computer/laptop.
Been watching some of the Google stuff unfold....
I see what you did there
Yes absolutely. We can't use tempered glass there. There is a screen protector issue?
