Gordon Brown - yeh or nay

What do you think of our future prime minister? Are you happy that this guy may be representing the UK in the world? Personally I think he is a tax happy, bland, devious politician. As a result the conseravtives are a shoe-in for the next election, heaven forbid if Labour win that election.

I can't say I've ever liked the guy. I don't like most of the Labour party front bench though, so he may as well be PM as far as I'm concerned.

Ummm, You hate this guy it seems and the Labour party. Why vote for them again then?

There are plently of other partys out there im sure., What makes these people you hate always become PM?

ney, ney, ney, ney.......

I would actually prefer for blair to stay in another term than gordon brown to be in control of the country...

Burn labour burn...

This directed at me? I've never voted for the Labour Party. The Labour Party MPs, members and their trade unions choose their leader and thus the Prime Minister, because their party has the majority in Parliament. I don't have a say in it.

I really don't think that the tory's will make any better job of it, but you are right Brown will not win the next election.

Labour are suffering from the same problem that the tory's were before they lost power, they've been in power too long and have become complacent and detached from what the voting public actually wants from their government.

I'll say it again, I don't think Cameron and the conservatives will make any better job of it, but I really don't see Brown wining the election for Labour.

When where they ever in touch?

Judging by the majority when Blair was first elected, I would say around then, or at least that's what the general public thought. Although as I said before, the tory's had pulled the same stunt that labour have done now. Ignoring what the public wants from it's government... whatever the hell that may be in reality ;)

ps. Wouldn't this be better in speakers corner?

I think the tories are needed so swing the balance a little back the oher way - ie lower taxes, more efficiency, less bureaucracy, more business focus. Otherwise our economy may well seriously slip under the current administration.
