did you download the software and try the ambient lighting video sync mode? i like it its not as acurate as my Corsair LS1000 were but it good enough

I've had the setup info for the new model 27GP950 now so I'll get this setup on the backend and email all customers with pre-orders giving them first refusal on switching over their pre-orders to the new sku.

I've also requested best estimates for stock and ETA's of both the old and new models so I can give you guys some info as to when we hope they'll get here!

Hopefully have some sort of resolutions for everyone tomorrow!

That’s cracking to hear. I will more than likely switch to the newer model. Look forward to it. Fingers crossed for tomorrow.

If we switch, does it generate as a new order or does it stay as the same? Because I’m waiting for a keyboard to be released but can’t because I’m waiting for this monitor.
 
Thanks Nik! You mention that you will make pre-orders available for the new SKU in the future, however I'm assuming that if you have sent a webnote to request a change to the new SKU, you don't need to do anything when pre-order open publicly?

I just got off the phone as I was switching SKU’s and also to spilt the order so I can get my key bored to arrive.

As it stands. I am the first person in the que as I am the first to switch. But, if everyone who ordered the previous SKU who were in front of decided to switch too, I would go at the back of them and take up my same queue position (47) and wait out.

Hope that makes sense and clears it up for you.

With the stock I've been allocated if everyone decided to switch to the new SKU they'd receive from the first allocation.

Everything is so uncertain and fluid right now though!

That’s good, but as everything in the last year and early this year, tech is up in the air. So things can change and if there are anymore disruptions due to Covid, no one can get a shinf in. But it is what it is. We shall find out when the dates come.
Feel sorry for the OC UK team if people are flinging complaints your way when you ain’t to blame. So good luck to us all and I can’t wait for the new monitor. This is my first ever build and I’m so excited.

There was a link to pre order. It was due for the 31st Jan 2021, but due to supply and what not from the manufacturer (NOT OC UK) the pre order had to be removed so that could manage the back orders and not have another drama like with the RTX 30XX series. There is a new monitor that is the next one above this that shall go on ore order on the 24th of March 2021.

Waiting on images from LG so it won't go up for general sale/pre-order tonight as planned.

Have had this monitor for acouple of months now and have finally finished my build and setting everything up, do I need a specific cable to get the oc 160hz feature ?

I’m a novice at all this as this is my first build. But I believe you want to use the display port cable. Once you’re all plugged in, you need to adjust your settings on the computer itself; apologies if I’m teaching you to suck eggs.

thankyou for your reply, I have the display port attached to the monitor and pc but within nvidia control panel the highest I can set it is 144hz,
Maybe it’s because I have the resolution set to 4k, ohhhhh will try later at 1440p and see what I get,
