Well I was loading something in my car outside my work the other day and I ended up getting a parking ticket.

When you parked there, were you aware you had parked on double yellow lines?

I without knowing how long you were there I wouldn't be passing judgement, if it was literally 1-2 minutes for loading then it seems a bit harsh, if you were parked there for more than that then it seems a fine is probably justified.

Surely that does not matter ? If the car passed and snapped the shot, they wouldn't know how long the car had been there but either way, it shouldn't have been parked there...

Should have told them you were loading in your appeal letter, not questioned the validity of the lines.
