Got an interview on Tuesday, Do you do this?

Slightly different, but i wrote "thankyou for your time" type letters, "it was interesting to see"..blah blah blah.. For both my last two interviews. I wrote them the evening of the interview, and tried to get them there for first thing the next day.

I made no attempt to resell myself, but just thought it would be a nice touch to thank someone for the opportunity of the interview, and see how the company works.

I got both jobs;)

Are you incapable of thanking someone face to face?

No do not leave a letter at reception

Ask for the interviewers business card at the end of the interview (they should usually give you one at the start) then send them an email thanking them for their time it also gives you another chance to sell yourself and improve on any answers you feel you didn't do a good job on

improve on any answers you feel you didn't do a good job on

Very very risky

1) The interviewer may have thought you did ok on that answer, then you send 'another, better answer' he'll think 'wtf'
2) Or he'll think you just went and asked your mates or this board or wikipedia the right answer and have copied and pasted it into an email for him, which is a bit cack.
3) Or, even worse, you'll kind of not give the answer he wanted on your second 'from home' attempt! Nightmare!

Leave the interview alone once it's finished!!

Won't matter a bit. If you're not right for the job, a generic "thank you" letter won't change my mind.

If you're right for the job, again, the thank you letter won't get you a pay increase or anything.

You’re better off just thanking the interviewer as you leave and then slip them a hand full of notes. ;)
