Man of Honour
So I've gone back and forth many times in the last couple of months. C63, then wanting to stick with BMW so looking at an M car, then going back to a new Mustang, among other things...
But after a few test drives of various cars, I went and looked at a different car today. Forgive the potato dealership pics.
It's a C43! And I love it. Wondering why it's an estate? Well I've actually always liked sporty estate cars. I've always loved the 3 and 5 series touring cars and thinks like the RS6. So when this one came up, I thought I'd see what it's like and I much prefer it to the saloon (Coupe is probably a bit nicer but I'm never getting a Coupe with a kid and maybe another on the way one day). I think the rear of it is spot on in estate form.
I test drove it today and fell in love with it, the noise is amazing, the rate at which it picks up pace is scary but most importantly, it feels good to drive. The C63 was lovely, but it felt so twitchy and putting any power down was a bit scary, I felt a bit scared driving it as I was worried I was going to trash it on the test drive. Compared to the M4 and M3, I found it a lot more responsive whereas the M cars seemed to have a bit of turbo lag in comparison, plus they weren't quite as nice sounding in the cabin.
It's well specced, Premium Plus with the performance exhaust (which was important to me), better alloys and lots of other toys.
I actually really like the interior once I was sat in it. Not 100% sold on the tablet but it is what it is. The screen itself is actually really nice and I quite like the software to use. Doesn't quite have the polish of iDrive, but I'm yet to come across a car that does across Jaguar, Audi and Merc. But the screen aside it is really really nice.
I can't wait until Wednesday now!
