the material just wore through to the palm.Cant afford TLD gloves though :(

I need a new rear tyre.....damn thing is slick in the middle.(nokian Gazza 2.3)

Today was a nice day for a bike ride.
Yeh I had a pair of Altura Pilot Winter gloves in 2004, they wore through at the thumb-palm joint in a couple of months on both. Shame though as they were very nice gloves :(

Lower pressure? or tbh, as you said before High Roller ;).

I was stuck at school .

I recomend the Bontrager Mud X 2.0.
IMO XC = no bigger than 2.25" tyres
Should be relatively cheap too, Bontys are pretty good for the money :).

Hmm, thats more to do with weight rather than anything else, some riders choose bigger tyres, like 3.0s and have them at about 10psi for better grip.

There is always better grip, but at the expense of speed when coupled with low PSI (tubless being the exception).

You have to look at the tyre you are using for the riding you are doiing.
Yep, although it mainly depends what the ground's like ;).

You do need to consider different tyres for riding, but some such as the high rollers are generally good all rounders. Things like tubeless are great for XC, but are a no no for DH (with the exception of maybe tamashi's).

ITs hard for me to pick a tyre. I ride to work on road and concrete, ride trails with hardpack mud and some gravel, then when it rains the trails are just all mud......and then i ride home on concrete. :o

Thats the exact place my gloves wripped  I now use my old gloves. Some non biking specific not bad make. The left one has holes in it as my mate touched my back brake with it after a long downhill :(

there are no really good tyres for everything, wet riding needs a thinner tyre to cut through the mud whereas that same tyre wont do so well on dry days. Its all about a compromise and what you do most.

Yeh i know that.....i seem to be able to fly though mud on these 2.3's. I fancy going for a michi comp 16/24 combo but the price is unbelievable. and they wear out pretty quick. :(
