So anyone else play http://www.gpro.net

Swear I've played it before, but just started again. First race was today, got 9th. Not to shabby.

What I don't get is I can only replace 1part on the car between races, but about Hal the part on the car are below 50%. So does anyone place. I assume I will break down next race. I don't get this.

Oops.
I know why, I had it set at 50
Why can I never finish a race / Why is my car always smoking? / Why is my part wear so high?
This is one of the most common questions asked by new GPRO players - and in 99% of these situations, the answer is LOWER YOUR RACE RISKS!

The Game rules state that risks of just 40 should be considered VERY HIGH for rookies - therefore it is recommended that you race with zero risks whenever possible, as this will lengthen the life of your car parts, meaning you will spend less money.

The majority of car parts should be able to last 3 races minimum.

Ah well as long as I don't get promoted, everything resets at end of season. Once out of rookie league, then it doesn't reset.

i used to but not for ages got to the point where i couldnt be bothered with all the micro management and having to keep all the old race data.

you should have risks to around 10 or lower in the bottom leagues or you will wear through components stupidly fast
my stats

Number of GPs: 0 (74)
Points scored: 0 (131)
Wins: 0 (3)
Podiums: 0 (9)
Pole positions: 0 (0)
Fastest laps: 0 (1)
Avg pts/race: - (1.77)
First GP: Season 6, Race 16

btw you should put your refferal link up as an optional for people dont dont mind doing it that way.

Yeah does seem to be lots of data needed.

Gone on ***** up the second race, not that I will finish, car will fall apart. Messed up fuel loads.

its all guess work for the first season, you really need race data so you know roughly how much fuel for which tracks , how many stops is best etc.

and be careful not to blow all your money on car upgrades and testing.

there used to be an app that would save all the race data for you but i cant remember what it was called

EDIT: found it
http://www.89484848.dk/gpro/phpmanual/

i used to play this a lot and had a big excel spread sheet with data from all tracks to work out fuel loads etc.

i started again last week.

i shall try that app.

hmm no mac version.

I played this a while ago. I found it to be very, very enjoyable actually - and I don't even like F1! - but like Arknor, in the end I just couldn't be bothered to put the time in.

The tool mentioned is GPRO GO; pretty much essential (along with a spreadsheet or two maybe, depending on how serious you are).

If there was an OCUK team I could possibly be persuaded to give it another bash.

Edit: This thread may get more interest if posted in the PC games section...?

We I'm getting better, but there advice is rubbish. Only upgrade parts when needed. Yeah that's, start this race it's three parts at 99%. Need to upgrade parts frm before frat race and do an upgrade every race. At least thn you can drop download roll n end of season for reset.

are you upgrading 1 part at a time? you can do a whole car at once if need be.

my tactic is to do a season or so and build up a bank balance of maybe 50 mill then try to sign a good young driver and start upgrading with level 2-3 parts when needed.

the main problem most come up against is no cash because they upgrade too early and cant earn the money back.

Whattttttt. Thought it was one part only.

Allready signed a young driver should be 83 rating after this race, can't go above 85, or I lose him.

Joined with 3 races to go of a season, so tried to get used to things with that.

New season today, fingers crossed my new driver will do the job... Still don't quite know what i'm doing though :p

I've done 3 races, think another 3 left in this season. Starting to get enough data for tyre and fuel. Can't wait for reset, messed this season up so much.

Good little game, just ashamed its so slow. Should be race every other day.

16th with big car issues. Jut replaced most of car, now I know you can replace more than on part at a time. So should do much better next race 17yr old driver now upto 81 rating.

Still have more than 30mill and all of car is level 2

Edit - oops did ome testing for first time, didn't realise ow much ware this causes. Fr more Han a race. Engine is now at 91% hope it survives. Ah well at least I'm learning in throw away season.

i just saved all of the past setups for every race i have done
www.snoop1050.pwp.blueyonder.co.uk/GPRO.rar

THE FILE IS PASSWORDED TRUST ME FOR THE PASSWORD.
this is to stop non ocuk members getting there hands on the data.

theres about 40 unique tracks in there but some have been raced more than once , im still misisng a lot of tracks but it should be a massive help to anyone in their first/second season.

the pages i saved are these ones
13vYC.jpg
in html form for your reading pleasure ;)

i could have downloaded each one as the excel data but it seems to miss loads of info out :(
it doesnt seme possible to import all the race data into gpro organiser or for the program to download all my pastsetups either which sucks or it would have made it easier for us
