GPU Backplates

Got one for my ROG Phoebus and one for my 780 Ti, And yes I know the colour scheme is weird but I like it, This way I always have Christmas colours :p

:( received my backplate yesterday, went to install it today but cant.
Screws supplied to fix clear plexi part to the GPU PCB are long enough but not wide enough, i wouldn't have minded just going to local place and buy more, but that would mean i have to re-drill the holes.
Which again i wouldn't have minded so much, except 3 of the 6 holes are so close to the edge i am not able to drill as doing so would would breach the edge of the plexi.

Have dropped him a mail to see whats going to happen next, so will hold fire on being negative for now.
Will get some images up later showing the issue.

Its all good i think!
Have contacted Cold Zero and it would seem my card uses M2.5 screws, whereas most other ref R9 290 cards use M2 screws to attach the cooler to PCB.
He is sending me a new reflector plate & screws tomorrow to arrive friday :)

Have to say, customer service is pretty good :)

But - Thank-you very much for the link, i will be reading that anyway for future reference !!

Very impressed overall, stupidly easy to assemble, incredibly good workmanship on both plates (granted they're laser cut but still, its decent quality)
the LED is incredibly bright but i managed to beat that by hooking it up to my fan controller and put the speed to minimum :D
The only thing i didnt consider when ordering this is that the backplate adds about 1cm to the height of my GPU (once installed) and as such i've had to unplug the front header for my USB3 - time to shave the corner off it :D

Very tempting, may have to go for one when I upgrade to a full water-cooling loop. Does it make a difference that its plastic rather than metal temps wise?

Not that i have noticed! There are spacers between the PCB & the backplate, about 3-4mm high so there is still breathing room for it, does help that i have good airflow inside.

is well worth the 40 odd quid + pnp for it
