So is ABx a set voltage limit or is it tailored to the individual? And how can you prove when applying for it that you know what your doing etc, Hardly gonna try phase/ln2 etc if your limited to 1.362v.
 
Its only for sub zero overclockers with several years of experience. MSI ask you to demonstrate this by showing them your history of scores from HWbot. As they obviously don't benefit in terms of free marketing if your not a regular submitter of scores.

You must sign NDA and away all rights to any warranty too.
 
Ah I see, so yeah it's an odd ball decision for nvidia to be so tight with the restrictions.

When I spoke to scottieb about abx he pointed me to a few sites like xs to get started with subzero and recommended starting out with some old cpus and working up to get used to cold bugs etc..and not put valuable equipment at risk in novice hands until you have the experience etc...fully understand their reasons for keeping it under locks, it's for the greater good.

Yep 1.4v would be the sweet spot for wc limits.
 
I think that's down to the bios fear factor, many don't like typing in numbers into a bios while moving a slider is very easy to over do.
