1660s get a vote from the NV POV here too, great little power house cards

I have a VEGA 56 flashed to 64 BIOS and can run GTA V @ 75FPS with everything set to highest settings from memory, 75fps is the max on my 1440p freesync panel. great cards and are getting cheaper used these days on the Members Market here if you have access

as a side note but worth doing on these cards its undervolted (950mv) and underclocked (P7 @ P6 clocks) on the GPU with memory slightly clocked (1050MHz) so its nice and cool :)

Nvidia 1070 / 1070ti's can be had around the 160-180 on there too, again great, powerful little cards that should see you right

Well, I went a bit silly and got a 3600 + 5700XT amongst other items :D Spent near enough £800 this afternoon. I had the itch to get something a bit more powerful, need an CPU cooler I think. the AMD one looks pants.

Also got an NVME M.2 SSD, 16GB of memory and a new PSU Seasonic GC650 as my 450W only had 1x6+2 PCIE

The 5700 XT is a good choice and should run demanding games like Assasins Creed Odyssey at 50-60FPS at 1080p, a bit less for QHD.

Yep nice jump from a 2060 albeit in my Laptop. GTA 95+FPS compared to 55FPS the same settings @1440p very high in GTA. That's all I wanted a solid FPS increase to take the load of my jet powered laptop fans.

Can't quite believe how the NVME drive makes the system feel supper snappy. I have my Ryzen 1500x still here, I may fit it again and see how it does against the 3600 if I can be bothered :d

Get a 980ti 2nd hand off ebay, it runs 1440p no problem. Used to use one of them before changing, great cards. Can pick one up for £150 or less on fleabay.

The more I looked into used GPUs the more I was put off. I got a used Ryzen 5 1500x and this was perfect, a 3 year old GPU which may of been mined on/heavily overclocked put me off, this may have been an excuse to buy a new RX 5700XT & Ryzen 3600 so a budget system went out of the window :D

Have never had a problem in 25 years personally. Sold a 980ti on ebay myself last week and have another which I may keep for a future build for a family member. 2nd hand is perfectly fine if you are careful.

That's a solid system! Like you've said, get a new cooler, it will help a lot with temps & noise. Don't need to spend much on it though, second hand ones are cheap, and even new something like Arctic's Freezer 34 esports duo is very good for not a lot of money.

Thinking of the AMD Wraith Prism?? There is loads on the marketplace for £10-15 where people have bought an AIO and have never used it.

I think that would look ideal been RGB and complete the look?

It's down to noise tolerance. Prisms will do the job fine & as you said match the look but they're noisier. If you find the noise level fine then it's a good pick for the money.

Granted. RGB waivered this once. :D

Thank you much appreciated :D Is it sad I liked the look of an HDMI cable that had RGB?? What's going on haha!!

Thanks for that. I see OC sell it for £19.99 this seems the best 'stock' cooler? I have the chance to get an AIO but I feel the 3600 is cooled find even on the lower profile AMD cooler?

I've just used rthe stock cooler with the 2600. I run it at 3.7GHZ permamantly and It's very quiet indeed. I would normally have bought a AIO, it must get louder during gaming but i'm gaming so I can't hear it anyway.

Hold off on buying a cooler and see how you go on. My old 2500K was unberarable with the stock cooler, stuck a Corsair liquid H100 on it I got from here refurb for £40. Might have been the best £40 on tech I ever spent. Ryzen doesn't seem to need it with a mild OC.
