GPU Hardware Survey - What Are You Running and Why?

Resolution : 2560x1440p

GPU : Titan X

Games : Witcher 3, WOW. BF4 , Elite Dangerous, Star Citizen plus more.

Reason : Wanted the best solution for high res gaming. came from a 780ti sli setup and wanted a single card solution.

Resolution : 1680 x 1050
GPU/GPUs : MSI non-reference 290
Because : I mainly play World of Tanks, and the 290 allows me to downscale a 1920 x 1200 resolution, while still maintaining around 60fps with everything maxed. I managed to pick up the 290 as a b-grade bargain earlier in the year, as an upgrade over an MSI non-reference 5850.
Extras : I'm planning on upgrading my monitor once the Freesync monitors start maturing.

Resolution : 4K
GPU/GPUs : 3x TITAN X
Because : Because GM200 is a throbbing powerhouse of GPU horse power to drive that resolution with the buffer to boot
Extras: M.2 1600mb/s drive and 3200mhz of DDR4 driven by a 5960x @ 4.4ghz - because that's how I roll.

:D

Resolution : 1920 x 1080 120hz
GPU/GPUs : 7990 + 7970
Because : If I increase the res, I'll have to upgrade the GPUs to make the most of it and that's a big outlay. I'd go 4k IPS next with G/Freesync.
Extras: Full cover waterblock on the 7990.

Playing at 1080p, GTX 960, went for the 4gb and sold the Witcher game code that came with it to bring the price back down for the card. I also had a 500w psu so I couldn't buy a power hungry card and it's also quiet.

I get 60fps in Gta 5 on mostly high settings and I'm happy with that.

Resolution : 1440p
GPU/GPUs : 7970 Ghz
Because : Wanted a decent single GPU - Was AMD's turn as I couldn't afford a titan.
Used to have a 3D Tridef monitor but did not like it. Plus, my friends all had nvidia - wanted to be different!

Extras: Looking to upgrade once Skylake is out to a 980ti or Fury x depending which does better, just because I love upgrading.

Resolution : 1440p (DGM IPS. Fantastic picture with zero flicker.)
GPU/GPUs : HIS 290
Because : Common sense though I do admit to almost buying a Titan X. Will wait to see how the Fury / Stryx 980 ti measure up for the next card.
Extras: 811 games on steam (sale starts on Thursday!) and World of Tanks keep me busy when I don't have to work. Work is mainly in Visual Studio.

Resolution : 1080p

GPU/GPUs : 2GB AMD 7850

Because : Was considered one of the better budget cards at the time at around the £200 price point. Also had huge overclocking potential.

Extras: Still use this card till this day. Don't see the need to upgrade just yet, mostly because AMD current offerings are outdated by this point, and their supposed next series lines of cards are mostly rebranded :( BUT it does play GTA 5 on mostly very high settings @ 60fps so I think I'm still good

Resolution : 1440p
GPU/GPUs : 7950 Crossfire
Because : It's cheap and still rapid (when AMD decide I'm worthy of a game profile)
Extras: Still plays everything at 60fps+@ 1440p, although looking to upgrade to 980ti/ Fury X for single card fun. Getting tired of AMD and crossfire profiles.

Resolution : 3840x2160
GPU/GPUs : 290 triX Crossfire
Because : AMD cards were strongest at 4k at the time of purchase.
Extras: There are plenty of options on the horizon, may look into 980Ti or may try and hold out until the next gen from both vendors, to get the proper 4k experience I'm after.
