GPU issue?

I have a pc of 4 years, lately when I'm gaming I'm having 'fps' issues.
What I mean by this is when I first load a game up its fine then maybe 30 mins or so in its like I'm playing on 20 fps it's juttery and so bad that I can't play. The weird thing is on the fps counters in games it still says well over 150 when in this jittery stage.
Im so confused at what it could be and any help would be appriciate!

I have a Amd raedon 380 2gb.
The games I play are csgo and fortnite

What are your temps like? Sounds like a gpu or maybe cpu is overheating then underclocking to prevent damage.

However firstly what are your full specs, please?

My specs are i5 4460 3.2ghz
8gb ram
250ssd
1tb hd
amd raedon r380

GPU normally reaches in the 50s after a while EDIT: also ignore the 24fps bit its cause i minimized its usually 150+ constant.

but yeah its like something changes mid game once i restart my computer its fine again for the first so and so minutes. Any suggestions on what i could do? Also thanks for quick reply!

I'm not too familiar with the AMD side of things, but maybe someone else can suggest some software similar to MSI Afterburner that logs temps, clock speeds etc in real time. Then just have that running in the background and play as normal until you have the issue. Once it happens, keep playing for a couple of minutes then you can exit the game and take a look at the graphs and see what changed at the time you got issue. That would be a good place to start.

Not quite sure what is system temp of 114C. It could be something overheating or no sensor thus it puts a random number there.
Can you download HWMONITOR from cpuid website to check temps? It is a well used and regarded software.

Few more questions. I read your reply but want some clarifications. When you get those bad stutters does your computer freeze or if you close down the game you can reopen it? If so does it stutter immediately after reopening the game?

Also, do you just get stutters in cs go or all games? If so there was an issue in the past where some of cpu's cores park over time reducing performance but it shouldn't cause instability.

Additionally, what is your power plan?

As @Lankoss suggested MSI afterburner is a good start. Can you download it, leave it running until you get those stutters and observer for changes as advised. Then report back.

It doesnt freeze at all its just really juttery like im playing on 10fps, i can close my game and reopen it but it will stutter from the get go, to get rid of it completely i need to restart my pc then i have like 30 mins or so have of normal gameplay before it goes back to 'stuttering'. I only really play CS & Fortnite but it happens in both of them yes.
I believe my power plan is on Balanced. ill download MSI program tomorrow once im home and let you know! What am i looking for just spikes in temps ect?

install HWMonitor and play got for an hour. that show a screen shot of that. it will give us min and max for everything

the system temp with be an a fault. if you system was over 100c it would shout down

something i also like to do is set fans to max, this will remove the chance of overheating, if you dont have the problem when you do this you know what the problem is

Quite probably but not necessarily. The alarming temperature reading may actually be a BIOS issue. See this thread. so make sure your BIOS is up to date.

I know what you mean with the Afterburner thing but i cant for the life of me wonder why i cant have it overlayed over my game when im playing, ive selected the option but it doesnt appear on my game. just in the msi program. Also tried the rivertuner same problem.

There are plenty of videos on youtube how to set it up, which may help you. I mean you don't have to have the overlay as it will only show you current parameters. You would need to look on a graph for significant dips before stutters occur. Afterburner is able to display stats in a graph format over time. For example the ones on the right, please see spoil 1

Please note that there are various skins for msi afterburner so you may need to change it to get this or similar one. To do this go open msi afterburner -> settings -> can't remember which tab it is under but is one of the on the far right. (I can't check as I'm on my phone).

UPDATE
-Also, what is your ram usage like? Maybe a bad driver leaking causing the ram to fill up?
-What is your power supply model and make?
-Lastly, what were your temps in hwmonitor like, can you post a picture of it when gaming?

If you want to have it overlayed then try running Heaven Unigine, you can overlay temps etc on that. Just leave Unigine running over and over. To be honest though, having a graph running in the background seems better, then you compare easily ie you may see a temperature reach a certain point when the stuttering happens then at the exact same time see something throttle. The graph will show both.

Also update your bios, clean your filters, open the case and give it a good blow out with compressed air, clean your fans and CPU cooler etc. That is where I would start.

Is there an easy way to update BIOS ive always been scared to do it incase i mess everything up.

It would be helpful if you took the first screenshot again to include the same sensors from the second screenshot so we could actually compare the perameters. I'm still dubious about those temp readings, they may just be erroneous but without the first screenshot to compare them too who knows.
