GPU prices go boom

Funny how people boycott cryptocurrency for the less importante reasons.
What about stealing money off clueless ppl ?
Everyone is happy with the prices going up. But when they make their profit they do so at the expense of an idiot who invested in a currency that is bound to devaluate

I wonder what percentage of people who have a gaming pc also mine as it seems for a lot of people this might be the only way they can afford to keep gaming on pc now.

Prices are insane because of mining, so i have been mining, and apart from last nights events with crypto dropping, (great for buyers and investors) it’s worth doing to pay for a new GPU.

I don’t like it, but I’m doing it

Up like a rocket down like a stick. if i was lucky enough to own any bitcoin i would sell now before its to late.
Or maybe its just a blip
Exciting times.

I was going to sell my Vega 64 but seems like putting it on eBay is the only way to get those big offers. I don't want to use list on eBay at all, dont trust it.

I hope BC plummets to being worthless, It's killing the GPU market especially for people new to PC, Many I know who were going to build bought an XB1X instead.

Kinda hoping the same tbh. How on earth all this fuss started over mining effectivally fresh air is beyond me. Power to those that's made money though.

I'm mining, but only to offset the extra cost of a GPU.

I do hope everything returns to sane levels. Bitcoin has existed among cheaper hardware (970 era) so hopefully we can go back to that soon. Seen some 1060's selling for over £300, that's insane levels of gouging.

Oh I agree, Good for the people who made some cash but the bubble needs to burst sooner rather than later, PC gaming adoption has really slowed down within the last few months according to a video by JayzTwoCents I think it was, I'm guessing the main culprit being that budget gamers and newbies cannot afford a £700 card that once cost £250.

Bitcoin existed in cheap GPU eras way before the 900 series.

7 series launched right at the peak of the first mining boom they didn't see inflated prices.

Indeed, got the shock of my life when I looked at the rx64 prices! 3 times the price I paid for a LTD now :eek::eek::eek:

Likes been said, couple that with RAM prices the ps4/xbox is looking mighty value for money

Are you tempted? sell it and go back to a GTX 1080 and pocket the change or perhaps just get a Titan Xp.

Speaking of which, anyone interested in an MSI GTX 1070 Quick Sliver? £350... Bargain :D
