Gran Turismo 5 Ferrari 458 Tribute - WOW

Looks very impressive.... But in game graphics, maybe close but it'll not look as polished as in that vid - for sure.

Its been buffed up, the PS3 is powerful but I somehow doubt it'll be able to push that around with 10 + cars on the track etc....

Anyhow, this game has been coming out for years, and if its anything like GT PSP then my hopes aren't as high was they once were.....

Till then, dirt 2 and NFS Shift are giving me my rally and track racing fixes, if GT5 comes out and its a stunner with gameplay to match the eye candy with a career mode etc.... Then cool, as i've got the console already for it..:)

Just in case you wheren't being sarcastic, TGS tommorrow will have the Big GT5 official announcement, and the floodgates are expected to open. Coincidentally, MS will release the FM3 demo/apparel/theme and more media..

Honestly wasn't being sarcastic, I had no idea a GT5 announcement was due tomorrow.

waits for the announcement tomorrow saying " We are doing our utmost to bring a full emersion racing simulator to the PS3, however this means it wont be out until June 2010"

I hope Im dead wrong and its out before Christmas - I just have this funny feeling everytime a major GT5 announcement is meant to happen

yea basically it looks amazing BUT it is not an ingame render AS you would see it whilst Driving said car...

its like the GT intro's - highly polished, look really good and flashy but not a hope that when you are actually racing that you will see similar gfx...

almost like replay mode...

it is an ingame render much like replay mode.

replay mode uses the games engine but drops the fps from 60 to 30 to add a bit more AA and motion blur.

A bit more AA yes, that much AA + all the post processing effects on top I very very much doubt. Its been tarted up and we all know it.
I'll happily eat my words if they show us otherwise tomorrow.

Is the Ferrari 458 going to be bundled with the game or is it going to be DLC, sure I read something about this somewhere but can't find it nor remember

Coincidentally, joystiq.com, just posted:

http://www.joystiq.com/2009/09/23/ferrari-458-italia-announced-for-forza-3-coming-as-dlc-this-ho/

It was only a few months ago that Ferrari officially unveiled the successor to the F430 in the much rumored Ferrari 458 Italia. With Forza 3 just over a month away, we can certainly understand how developer Turn 10 couldn't find extra time to fully develop the brand new car for its game. Even though the game went gold recently, the developer got right back to work, announcing recently that the mid-engine V8 monster will arrive as DLC this holiday. There's even a sweet video of the car in action that you can see above (and compare it with the real thing found after the break).

We pressed Microsoft for a price and only heard back, "We're not announcing any other details about the Ferrari vehicle at this time, other than to celebrate its inclusion in the game since it's a sick car." Maybe Microsoft will gift us all free Ferraris for the hoidays!

(By Holiday they mean Christmas time).

Looks like we are back to waiting for GT5, its scheduled for a march 10 release in Japan no news for other regions (not surprising as its from TGS lol).

Despite other speculation I'm not too surprised, they did say earlier in the year that it wouldn't be out until next year. Not many developers let alone PD ever release a game earlier.

Just read the release date news, March 2010 in Japan... means I win a bet with a mate who was convinced it would be before christmas.. I said no way, Japan next year and probably Europe will be screwed over a little further, we'll see on the last part..

Thinking more about this, it's rather annoying.. how long can they keep the GT5 carrot hanging in front of the PS3 users before they get fed up.. just means that I'll have played and enjoyed Forza 2 & 3 on the 360 before GT5 is released.. at this rate probably Forza 4.. as someone said above maybe they should now stop releasing the nice looking trailers and concentrate on getting the game out.. I was looking forward to playing this too, ohh well
