Gran Turismo 6

Rolling starts are optional in multi player though, according to the reviews, so I wonder why they didn't allow them in single player?

My copy is on the way. :D

I'll enjoy it while PS4/Xbone are still being beta tested by early adopters and then get one when some decent games are out.

Read the reviews cracking game apart from early 2000's sound and damage but loads of tracks and cars and great handling.

Might get this next week for my Birthday, I can't understand why people have come in the thread purely to say a next gen driving game on a next gen console is better.

shopto preorder hasnt arrived :(:(:(:(

same i seen a review in one of todays papers 'Game' sections where they compared it with Forza 5 and only give it something like 3 because forza 5 looked better

Any suggestions on a wheel? Dread playing this on a DS3.

I used to have the Logitech G27 and a racing seat back in the day but sold the wheel and the seat is in the loft... plus, takes up too much space. Want something to clamp onto a desk.

"Logitech Driving Force GT Steering Wheel" any good?

brilliant get one you won't regret

Mine didn't arrive so I spent most of day playing GT5 with the wheel mentioned above which I also bought new this week. You know for a game that calls itself a Driving Simulator, with a wheel anyway, it's terrible. I get on much better with the DS3 although the Car Physics are that poor that I've been "drifting" at 11mph with no throttle input, truly terrible!

Then I did Tsukuba in the Mines R34 '06 and it was amazing, I just never know whether it's going to be good or terrible

I do, hence why it's gone already, hope you enjoy it though.

Why not make this a thread about GT6 rather than I'm not feeling particularly inclined to play something thread?????? Enough hate in this thread already. Its a good game imo, if you like GT's style, some of the new tracks and cars are superb, I've wanted to tackle Bathurst for years.

I gave a logitech DFGT and its decent if you can get it for 70 quid or so. You really feel the cars through the ffb. If course it's not as good as a g27 but then it is a third of the price.

Why does Gran turismo when your doing 80mph feel like your doing 30mph...?

I really wanted to get this but the videos ive seen it just seems the same boring races over and over AI is crap, and i said the sense of speed is just lacking.

GT7 is the one I might actually get back into and buy a decent wheel. Videos and reviews I watched of this looked funky. The menu system looks like a pain to deal with.

Shame as I really want to get back into GT. GT2 is probably my most played racing game of all time.

So, if you buy it and don't like it, you can't say so in a thread about the game? All has to be positive, even if it's not true? OK...

At least I actually played the game to form an opinion

I've played it! Stunning game.

If you like GT then you will like this and by that I mean nothing has really changed...

I really hope that when GT7 is released they actually address the issues that people have with the game every single time. Yes there is not the sense of speed you get in Forza etc but my major moan every time is the sound, from the sound of the engines to the pathetic thud you get when you hit something. I've been playing Forza 5 lately and I normally feel guilty if I run into the back of someone or annoyed if I swipe a wall, with GT6 it's ohh well...

The sound really lets this game down for me. I could almost cope with every car sounding like a hair dryer, but what is up with the constant tyre screeching! Very irritating.

Although, with that said, I did spend most of yesterday and the wee hours of this morning playing it.

i have the logitech DFGT and GT5 is brilliant with it, if your drifting at 11mph then you havent got it set up correctly. when i got mine i was all over the place with the cars - i had to keep changing the wheel settings in the options until i got it to a setting i was happy with.
