Gran Turismo 7

You have pictures of the setup with the workbench?

Here's one I saw this morning on a Logitech G29 post on HUKD from user guntzm0ng

You can move your position if you’re using cockpit view but not by much. Haptics are quite heavy but I think I am going to leave it as is.
How do I change the view slightly?

I can't even see my rearview mirror because the positions/times are in the way!!!

I really need to drag my wheel out for this, been using the controller which is fine with cars under pp600 but I'm starting to struggle with the higher performance stuff now.

I have a Wheel Stand Pro and Thrustmaster T150 I used to use with GT Sport but I really struggle with the seating.

I'm thinking if the wheel is still grafting and will work with PS5 I might look into getting a GT Lite foldable cockpit.

Enjoying it so far, and looking forward to getting into some proper race cars online but yeah the funds are tight and the tickets seem to always land on the smallest prize! I've a feeling that's by design due to the real money top up and it does leave me feeling a little sour. Good job I love everything else.

Yeah I feel money is always tight. And when I do manage to rack up 100k or so, it gets blown on mods for a car for the next series of cafe races.

not quite sure how long it’s going to take to save up for some of the more expensive motors.

Got this yesterday but only had about ~30 mins to play yesterday and another couple of hours today, enjoying it so far though :)

Early on still but the difficulty bit that concerned me from GT Sport, both general ease in licence/mission times as well as money rewards, don't seem to be too bad. I've done B- and A-Licences all gold some were 'easy' in terms of first time but lots took a couple of attempts for me to just squeak under the bar and several (like the mentioned Civic, Supra and NSX ones...) took quite a few attempts, for a while with the NSX my best was 0.001 outside of gold

Money doesn't seem too harsh so far, but I've only bought the starting car (Honda Fit) so far, and not tuned any of them. Got clean races on all of them so far for the 50% bonus, and just got the BRZ which is winning the current cafe menu card races easily so all good still. I'm sure I'll buy a car soon but sitting on about 200k (before redeeming the +100k pre-order bonus)

Find it a bit weird going to the tracks to find races rather than the usual kinda 'Amateur' -> 'Sunday Cup' bit, but actually seems quite nice too...

At Tokyo Express ? yeah struggling on that atm, also struggled on the muscle cars on the oval but got there in the end, IDK where I am losing time with the Civic though.

I think you've already got it but for me I found I really had to nail the first proper corner, which seemed to be flinging it in almost a scandinavian flick and getting straight back on the power, doing that right meant I needed just the slightest lift on the next corner as well whilst most of the time I could take that flat... tricky one though.

Gotta say, loving the upgrade and tuning, especially the way you can decide were you want power in the rpm range... putting all that forza tuning time to good use now :D

Stock Scooby BRZ was a twitchy 200 bhp thing, now its a solid stable 300bhp thing without TC ... and it feels like it can handle even more power. Pity I cant share files.

That's interesting, the last bit I did was a couple of races in the BRZ and was surprised that turning off traction control turned it into a monster  Nice to know it can be saved :p

Don't know if posted, but the online manual for GT7 is here :)

.

HDR setup may not have been done correctly so Vincent is on the case (as always) to help us out :)

Thanks hyperseven, that'll come in handy for many of us I think :)

It'll be interesting to find out how many miles before a service or overhaul is required, or indeed body rigidity ... wonder if more collisions shortens the body life ?

God that red clubman mini cooper S 65 is a little bugger to beat in that goodwood circuit race:mad: nearly had him but he always gets me on the last corner:cry:

Having frustration setting in with the RWD cars on no TC, I gave in and put minimum TC .... and its way too strong !
No idea if these things get tweaked in updates, but I hope so, about halfway between none and minimum would be good :p
ATM I'll have to drive RWD TC on a car by car basis.

I'm glad I'm not the only one! GT Sport was too stable, for lack of a better word, but they seem to have gone too far the other way with this. I think it's something to do with the comfort tyres most (all?) road cars come with as standard and used in the licence tests. Once I upgraded my BRZ with sport tyres it instantly become much nicer to drive; you can still provoke oversteer but it no longer handles like a pro drift car.
