Gran Turismo 7

That must make it a bit more accurate on some of those licence tests. I have a g29 but im waiting to get my 42 OLED on my setup before i get it out. Currently in the sitting room on the big tv on the sofa with a controller.

Yeah it definitely helps, plus increases the enjoyment. You should notice the difference once you have yours setup and get used to it.

edit @spaceman thank you. Can’t wait for the pennzoil and calsonic skylines too.

Even better pic :)

Looking on gtplanet, the Calsonic r32 isn't in the game yet :(

These are the only cars that haven't been sold yet

Chevrolet Camaro Z28 1969
Chevrolet Corvette Stingray Concept 1959
Dodge Challenger R/T 1970
Ferrari 330 P4 1967
Jaguar D-Type 1954
Lamborghini Countach LP400 1974
McLaren F1 GTR Kokusai Kaihatsu 1995
Nissan Skyline R34 GT-R GT500 1999
Plymouth Superbird 1970
Porsche 962 C 1988
Porsche Spyder Type 550/1500 RS 1955

So it looks like I'm waiting for the F1, 962, R34 & P4. Along with the Sauber C9 and GT40 I missed.

In other news, I'm 93% through with golds on the Circuit Experiences :)

Thanks, I’ll have a look
You can get the race done in 20 mins. So 2.5m is very doable. I hope they don't nerf it personally

Like Azazl says it's pretty quick to do. I think the pro's do it in low 14 minutes, my best is 17 minutes. The first lap you have to go slow as the rain will put you in the barrier, lap 2 you can push a bit more then onwards just down to your skill level to how quick you go. Towards the latter half of the race, excluding the first corner and the hairpin at the end you can be full throttle the entire lap if it's clear or you meet the AI in the right parts of the track. Don't use the overtake button and if you run between fuel map 3/4 you won't need to pit either. It's also quite forgiving with the clean race bonus. I THINK it's only the first lap you need to worry about (dive to the right between the two cars off the line then move left and hold against the wall full throttle you should have a health lead by T1 brake around the 200m board for the first lap). When I've been lapping the cars I've had one dive in front of me and I've killed it but still got the bonus.

I don't know how you guys can grind that Tokyo track, I hate it (trying to gold the circuit experience currently).

I enjoy the other two high credit races though 25min & 30min without glitches.

Normally I hate the Toyko track as well but the Tomahawk has such high downforce it's good fun trying to actually string the lap together on full throttle. I do 3 rounds of it then try and do some online races or circuit experiences.

Now that you're at max collector rating are you still getting points when you purchase new cars? How many of the total cars do you have? I'm surprised the cap isn't more in line with having nearly all the cars.

Ah ok, that would make it less boring to grind!

I've been on collector level 50 for a while now, but the stats say i've bought 86 cars (mostly race cars and classics), so probably around 186 in total. The numbers still go up when i buy cars, but they don't mean anything as the level doesn't increase anymore. Since i've been level 50 i've had 500k credits a few times from 4 star daily roulette tickets, no idea if they are linked though.

I got gold on all sectors/1 lap on the 4x remaining Tokyo tracks & gold on the 1 lap of Sardegna road today.

(On controller a couple of the Tokyo hairpins required the handbrake otherwise i lost too much time. I got gold on the 1 lap before the sectors, so i got to know the flow of the tracks (i hate the Tokyo tracks!))

So i'm now left with these to get gold on:-

USA
  • Fisherman's Ranch - 1 Lap (haven't attempted yet, dirt physics are terrible)
Europe
  • Nordschleife - 1 Lap (around 10 seconds off gold with a slow'ish lap)
  • Leman's - Sector 5 + 1 Lap (on controller there is no rear downforce through the highspeed curves on update 1.12)
  • St Croix - 1 Lap (0.2 off a gold time)
Getting there

I looked at your profile earlier this evening and saw you Circuit Experience at 93% I think. I was like fudge, he's been putting a shift in. I think the Dirt physics have been adjusted so you might be fine with Fishermans now. Does the Nordshleife have a semi generous Gold time given how long the lap is?

I started doing the Human Comedy missions today, did the Kei car one, was a right hoot. Might have a bash at Tsukuba tomorrow.

Got 8th on my Nations Cup @ Suzuka today. Took me 3 attempts, first I came 10, second I was 6th final lap and kissed the grass on the essesse's which put me in the wall and then 8th, should have maybe got 7th but I was just wanting the result so eased off a bit.

Yeah, ive been on a mission, i think the whole lot is worth about 47 million. I'll give the St Croix Veyron one another go tomorrow, that car has mental downforce, along with the Fisherman's one.

I'm not sure about Nordshliefe time as a haven't done a fully committed lap yet, just 2x laps to get used to it again.

I did the Human Comedy Tsukuba last week, I think I put my settings in this thread. I'll go through those when I get gold or get bored of the CE's.

I haven't done a cup race for a while, every other day doesn't give enough time to practice really. I'll probably get more involved when there's a prize.

It is fairly generous. I did a banker lap first which was 3 seconds off then managed just fine on the 2nd attempt (Though I did nearly blow it on the last turn where I lost about 1.5 seconds).

Cool, I'll have to keep working on them, I should be at least able to bronze it all. I know some of the target times are a bit on the tighter side it feels sometimes so glad there is a bit to work with on that one.

I was surprised I didn't see your name on the Qually time board as I know you're quite fond of Suzuka. It was pretty much a sea of Altenza's, although someone did win in the SLS and there was someone in every lobby I tried that was starting from the back on purpose in the RCZ and making decent progress.

Ah i would have done that one, i didn't know it was Suzuka. I need to keep an eye on which tracks the races are on!

I got gold on Lemans Sector 5 & St. Croix 1 lap this morning. On controller Lemans needs a partial lift going into the first right hander to stop the car from spinning (almost every time!).

I just have the 1 Lap of Fisherman's Ranch, Nordschleife and Leman's left to get gold on (8 million credits there though).

Been farming my arse off using the Tomahawk X VGT PP setup on Tokyo Expressway. Managing to farm around 3.3m credits an hour!

Serves PD right for giving us crappy rewards for so long.

There's some proper bells playing Sport mode. I'm in B class with an S safety rating but it's just so easy to have an S rating that complete cheaters can maintain it.

Spent a while yesterday doing race B at Monza. Did a bloke round the outside of Parabolica on the last lap to take 2nd...until he just turned left in a right hander, into my rear quarter and back through he goes. No penalty.

Another race rammed in the back at T1 by a bloke breaking 50m too late. I get bounced across the corner by the sausage kerb and then he hits me again into the gravel. I lose 15 seconds compared to my last lap and come 8th, he doesn't get a penalty and wins the race.

Maybe I'm playing the wrong game but I'd say half the grid on average seems to have no idea of basic racing etiquette.

I've had this on a few of the daily races. Get shafted from behind, hit into a barrier and pick up a 1.5s penalty for a collision with another car and another 1.5s for hitting a barrier

Yeah the penalty system is farcical at times. I had another where I got a 3 second pen for someone driving into me, served it, car ghosted as it does, came out of ghost and got hit at 150mph from behind, further 2 second pen for me :confused:
