I take it that its not possible to tune cars to the point of buying new filter exhausts etc?

Nope, shame really.

I'm not really enjoying it, load times are rubbish I get bored. Shame.

To cure your load time blues, just install the game to your memory card from your umd. Speeds load times up no end.

Would upgrading to a 3000 (would love a GO, but alas funds do not allow) give me a hugely better screen over my 1000?

Never really been an issue for me before, but the more I play this game the more the ghosting annoys me!
