Your Xbox 360 has three CPU cores so in that respect it is 50% better.
 
Works for me, you just make a text doc inside your GTA folder with the -norestriction in it, then just run the Launch GTAIV secuROM Launcher thats in there.

Runs fine maxed out for me, as from my post in the performance thread. :p

Well that's at least encouraging. Similar spec to mine (albeit amd to intel, nvidia to ati) so I'll give it a go.

Funnily enough I was thinking 1280x1024 would probably be a good starting ground for my rig. Cheers for the reply.

this game is for the future, we need to make a time machine and go to 2030 then play it.
i think r* have time machines in production as we speak !

I've got the same gfx card, xxx overclocked edition n i've been playin around with it all day. Cos the card only has 320mb ram it's a choice between texture settings and resolution. I can get 1366x768 (native res) but texture has to be set to low, or vice versa higher texture lower resolution. Sucks balls :mad:
 
Okay, now I am happy. I turned res to 1280 x 1024 and textures on med and the other option on highest, draw dist low and everything else max = no lag, smooth and looks much better., :D

i dont think future PCs will make that much difference there is something bugged with the game or drivers

ive tried lowering the settings/resolutions and raising them to the max my card will allow and the performance and choppiness is still the same
 
Running the game for a few mins, shows me that Rockstar need to bring out a patch to fix certain bugs aetc in the game. I have gotten it to run acceptable now. :D

Yea, I think I read it over at GTAForums that it downloads the main page every time you start-up the game. So if their servers are getting hammered it stays at 0% or it loads the page extremely slow.
