The controls and aiming in SA are terrible. GTA4 makes it playable to some degree.
 
As you can see from this thread, some people love GTA4, some people don't. I really enjoyed it.

Vice City remains my favourite though.

It's because SA was about becoming a crime lord of the entire map, buying properties, over the top missions and stuff like that. GTA4 is more realistic, gritty (in terms of colour scheme and story) and even by the end you hardly own the city. The outlandish stuff was far from a tiny part of the game, it was there from the first hour of the game until the last part.

Nonsense. GTA 4 received pretty much universal acclaim and is a superb game. GTA SA was excellent 4 years ago but is now OLD and OUTDATED.
GTA 4 is it's own game and an excellent one. In terms of the core GTA gameplay 4 is excellent.

Are you blind? You can see just in this thread that it didn't receive universal acclaim. Go and read the GTA4 thread in here and pc gaming and you will find more preferring SA. I love both and both are great games of their type.

SA is only old and outdated if you are a slave to graphics over gameplay.
 
GTAIV is a good game, but don't be fooled for a second by the review scores. It is in no way deserving of the huge number of 'perfect' scores it received.

Good? Yes. Best game ever as according to the majority of game reviewers? Hell no.

There are better GTA games out there, but seeing as you haven't played any this would probably be the one to start with, you can then invest in the older, better titles if you enjoy this one enough.
 
Vice city was fun in 2002 but is very dated now, ditto SA. The gamepay in GTA 4 is waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay better. Sorry but I trust my own jdgement and indeed the professional judgement of 100% of review sites more than forum tards.

You do realise you are making yourself look like a fool.
 
GTA4 was better than the previous ones in many ways. It also took a step back in what you can do in some ways too.

Like need for speed underground 2 you could put each individual bumpers, exhaust tips etc on each car and in the later games you could just but body kit A or B on.

GTA4 was a good game in many respects, but to those who played Vice City and San Andreas it was a bit of a let down.
 
The very few negative points raised about GTA 4 complain about it not havin some stuff that was in previous GTA games, which is a dumb attitude. In and of itself GTA 4 is an awesome game.

And this despite that fact that there is stuff that was in SA that isn't in 4?
 
I don't think calling someone a 'fool' is worthy of an RTM tbh. If it was then Mr T would surely have been jailed looooong ago :D
