Hey guys,

Please can you advise.

I am Looking to buy BF4 but this is my current spec

CPU: Intel i5 2500k @ 4.5
Mobo: Z68A-GD65 (G3)
GPU: HIS 6950 IceQ Turbo
Storage: 128gig 840 pro SSD + Crucial M4 128gig SSD
Memory: G-Skill Ripjaw 8gig memory
PSU: Corsair 650 Pro

I believe at my current spec the graphics card which will let me down..

Looking to spend no more than £275

Would appreciate any help/advice, Many Thanks :)

Spend the extra and get a R9 290 Pro if you're happy with the high temps and loud reference cooler or wait for better coolers to be released. Other option is a 280X (such as the Sapphire Toxic) but the 290 is significantly better and faster

Hey Sneak, your spec is almost identical to mine and im currently playing BF4 (i got a 6950 Toxic) on high settings and it runs fine, im going to buy a 290 pro as soon as the better cooler versions appear however, but at the moment it runs fine

Can you please post the link to the model.. Im a bit out of touch with the latest cards since the 6950! Pro, X, etc etc :P

The PSU requirements are way overboard, you don't really need that much.

The bit-tech 290 review using a mildly overclocked i5 (3570k @ 4.2GHz) and at load was pulling 418W from the wall, not from the PSU so system consumption was lower yet.

What is the "Pro" people speak of? I only see a 290 and 290X?
