Graphics cards that you "missed" out on...

I have a vague recollection of having desired Vodoo Sli when Caramageddon was on my HDD ... voodoo was da thing then!

I got me a Diamond Viper 550 to play quake & Hl on. That card is now mated with a P500 that my kids use ....

I missed out on the first wave of Geforce cards ...

When the radeon 9700 came along I really wanted one but it was bad timing as I was not gonna be allowed one by the missus as the new house came first :D

I RMA'd a 6800GT at one point - should have got another one but I did not!

My discrete cards were: Savage S3 1mb (still got that in a box too!), Viper 550 TNT, GF2 MX, GF Ti4200, GF 6600GT, Radeon X1900XT - just ordered a 8800GTX

The main series I missed out on was the Geforce 6 Series. Never owned one.

I went from a Geforce 4 Ti4600 to a 9800Pro when OcUK had them on that mad deal. £135inc VAT I think. What a bargin at the time. I remember almost everyone had a 9800Pro from OcUK :D

Always wanted the original GeForce card. A revelation at the time :) Kick started the real gfx market IMHO.

The voodoo stuff was always vastly overpriced it seemed. Hardly anyone I knew could afford the stuff lol.

Maybe Im remembering wrong but the voodoo cards were no more than £200. I think I paid £130 for my voodoo 3. Prices really seemed to jump around the geforce 3 and 4 time.

I think I paid just about £200 for my first Radeon 8500 (I've owned 3), they came out at the same time as the Vanilla GeForce 3.

Later Voodoo cards weren't that expensive IMO, my Voodoo 3 cost me well under £100, my two Voodoo 2's however were over £100 each.
