hi guys,

Recently upgraded some hardware and upgraded to windows 10. I've found in recent days that at random points in a variety of my games I get a random freeze on my graphics and then it starts the graphics back up. It's becoming a nuisance as it causes commotion with my streamlabsobs and twitch stuff.

Am I right in thinking there's a possibility it could be a conflict on graphics between on board and my graphics card?

what card have you got? System specs? What drivers are you using? Can't help you with no information.

IF you go into the bios and the chipset menu there is an option there to disable the onboard gpu.

Ryzen 2600 has no onboard GPU so that won’t be the issue. Generally 95 degrees Celsius is high but I’d seriously think a GPU upgrade especially with the RX580 deals at the moment as you’ll find it a significant improvement. I’m afraid that a GTX660ti isn’t going to cut it!

Nvidia support got back to me eventually, they have given me some specific settings to change and try out so will give it a go

I am going to suggest you try the 388 drivers, the 399 drivers were a pain. And you should run DDU and remove all traces of the old the drivers before installing.

downgraded to 388.71
Also set power management mode to prefer max performance and then set the same on my games as well as disabling veritcal sync.
Temp has been steady around 86-89 in swtor and so far after about 90 minutes touch wood no issues. Will continue to monitor and feedback
