Graphics versus story versus gameplay?

Actually it dpends on my mood.

Somtiems just want silly fun

Just Cause 2, pinball, lol..just cause 2 has nice gfx also. I play that game

1. to relax and just travel about world
2. To enjoy blowing stuff up

It has no story decent at all.

Then sometimes I want story so I play a game like Syberia or final fantasy

Then sometimes I just want pure action so U play a sports game.

Gameplay > Story/Graphics for me

The gameplay in The Binding of Isaac is so good, I can play it for hours despite the very basic graphics.

However graphics can be powerful enough to increase or add to a games immersion. When playing Crysis 1 I clearly remember after leaving the first UFO part and seeing all the rocks and snow, it was like -"Wow, this area is amazing!" It was purely graphics/art direction that created this moment for me so you cant dicount them both entirely.

Gameplay and graphics can create different emotions in games.

Gameplay is the most important thing by far for me. Of course I enjoy nice graphics as much as the next person, but if that is all there is to a game then I will get bored very quickly. Crysis 2 being the best most recent example of that.

Gameplay > Story > Graphics

Good engine use trumps graphics for me aswell. Uncharted for instance. Falls down in some graphic departments, Yet the engine use and direction. Makes it sublime.
