Grating HDD ?

As title says my hdd us making a loud Grating noise while loading .. anyone else get this?, It happens only sometimes but it's bloody annoying mines a WD Black cav 1Tb any ideas before i take it out and throw it at the wall ? it's about 8 months old.

How is the drive mounted in the case? Sometimes it can be the case resonating or otherwise amplifying the drive noise rather than the drive itself.

IT's in the coolmaster 330 elite just using the normal plastic twist connections srsly considering using screws instead since it's driving me nutz ><

i removed all the plastic drive holders not in use and screwed the hdd in firm to the case seems to be quite now Thanks for the quick advice i were about to buy a SSD my husband were about to pass out when i said i need £350 lol thanks rpstewart <3.
