graw 2 demo on marketplace!

True. I will buy it, for me we had the most MP traffic on that. Also no host advantage ;) and many different winners which for me adds to the fun.

I can't see them including the old maps sadly.

They may well redo some original maps, and tweak then a bit though :)

Seems a bit more like GRAW 1.5 more than 2 really...Too many things reminded me far too much of GRAW 1, even the menu music was from GRAW 1 but surely thats just for the demo? :D

I liked GRAW so i will pick this up at some stage :)

If it aint broken dont fix it I liked the familiarity of the intro music in the menus etc. Probably this is no more than a slight update a new levels. So yes its 1.5 but I dont have a problem with that after all its a year ago GRAW was out. If they released GOW2 in 12 months that would be little more than an update.

If this is just basically an add on update new level and gameplay stuff you get on pc games I'd still be happy.

Just more GRAW and i'm happy.

I just hope they fix the multiplayer stuff.. so we have

More maps.. 15ish would be a good number.
Single Player Campaign in COOP.. ie how GOW did it. (2player would be fine.. 4 player would be fantastic).
A bit more variety in the map styles.
Less stickyness on terrain as Alrik mentioned.
Better matchmaking ala HALO 2

If it has all of the above.. im sold :)

Dunno about the other stuff but the demo on closing said about clan support. Never been in one in my life so dunno if that means the sort of stuff you got with halo?

Dunno if it will have SP co-op type gameplay. Doubt it, more likely the co-op will be in the MP campaigns as before.

Just downloaded this, have seen enough in 5 minutes to know I will be buying it.

It's true that it's more like GRAW 1.5, but i'm more than happy to able to play this so soon after the 1st one rather than wait a lot longer.

Since when have sequels been known for innovation and originality? As a general rule the innovation usually comes in new titles. More of the same is rarely a problem for me if I liked the original. If they do the same with GRAW 3 then maybe I wont be so quick to buy it, but for now i'm glad this will be out so soon.

I expect the follow up to Vegas to follow on directly from where the first ended, certainly with the way it ended you would expect that, if that's the case I will buy that as well.

If it hasn't already been said, I would like to be the first to bet Kronologic will end up getting it, just like he bought the extra maps in the end.

Played this through last night, and wasnt too impressed. Am sure Ill pick it up at some point, but wont be rushing out on launch day. Might see if its region free and import it.

Really didnt like this much, only played GRAW on PC, and i dont think the 3rd person aspect works for me in this like it does in Lost Planet and Gears of War. Might give it another spin later see if it grows on me.

Then you can flick it to 1st person. I hate 3rd person view myself and only ever played the original GRAW as 1st person!

(something like: options -> over the shoulder view : off )

Is it me or does the stick to cover thing work a little better?

My main annoyance with GRAW was when you didnt go into cover for some reason, on hard it ment instant death sometimes.

TBH the Vegas system of left trigger is the best ive seen for that, but i like the "hold your breath on GRAW as well" (but you cant do that in MP)

I know I'll end up buying it but I am not doubtless.

I agree totally, the only 360 tom clancy game I haven't got on with so far is splinter cell. Still not sure whether to pay full price or import for this yet though. Might just wait the extra week and save a tenner.

You sir are a legend, gonna retry it now.

played it for 5 minutes not my cup of tea as i dislike over the shoulder viewpoint very much.
After i deleted it i read this thread and realised you can play in first person mode. reckon i should re-download and give it a go this way? or is it not as good in fps mode?

Certainly if 3rd person view isn't your cup of tea then retry with 1st. With the original this made all the difference to me - far easier to play!

There's probably not much to grasp from the single player demo. For a lot of us the original GRAW really came to life with the Multiplayer side of things - with it being a regular event several evenings a week for about 6 months! Playing with a good group of folk too made all the difference, after that you don't want to join random kids and play with either a room full of silent folk or screaming kids!

Hmm after playing it a few times earlier tonight i have to say im not very impressed with this demo of GRAW2, i do hope they get it right when the full version comes out.

But tbh this demo did absolutely sweet FA for me, not sure if ill even pick up the full version. At the moment the best Tomy clancy game out there for the 360 is Rainbow6 by far. The controls on this demo just seem too god damn clunky for my liking, much worse than GRAW actually...

Anyways heres hoping they have fixed some of these issues when the full retail version hits the street..personally tho im really waiting for the next installment of rainbow6 tbh.
