Just started farming my neighbour, going well so far, I only have 2 phalanx though, so its slow going.

I've got two noobs very close to me. Can get about 450 of each resource every hour with 15 macemen. Should be getting axemen out reasonably soon. Then the fun can really begin ;D

Nice! I'm just going to plow all my spoils into more phalanx to up my raiding.

If you've got the infrastructure behind you as a roman, it's probably the best choice.

It's all well and good that I get 450 each hour but I need to be at my PC. I earn a very poor amount when I'm not raiding atm.

Stupid Question

Whats the difference between a raid and an attack ?

My thinking is ;

If i raid, then my raiding troops would have to attack and defeat any defence to steal resouces.

If i attack , then my attacking troops would attack and defeat any defence and steal resouces.

I think i'm missing the point somewhere as they both seem the same.

You're right but you won't get resources from an attack. There will be more fighting in an attack than in an raid too. I believe you will want to attack when they have a big force. You can smash that then stroll in with little resistance to steal more resources. I'm not entirely sure that is correct though.

ive had quite a lot of constant attacks, but luckily i have lvl 10 crannies and keep my resources to just what i need so they never take anything

Sorry for not seeming to level as fast as you guys have. I seem to have dropped the ranks quite a bit

I'm still fighting strong though. Was testing a few ideas on another account. All in the aim of learning

I'm getting to the point where I'm churning out a lot of resources now so have to spend them quickly to avoid making myself worthwile looting

Be careful with more than one account, they make it clear you're only allowed the one.

Does it cost anything to redistribure resources? I don't really understand that option.

Edit - I see, it costs gold not resources, got it now

Two users on one computer. (have a looky in the profile options) Made a diff account to test troops before i spent a tonne of resource on main one, thats long gone now and I'm building up main account.
Not breaking any rules here.

Isnt it a plus option for 3gold?

Yeah I spotted that extra user thing, its meant for someone else using your PC, but I guess they'd have no idea you'd be doing it unless you sent all your resources to your original account constantly

I think i read it in the Travian forum somewhere.

You can have 2 accounts on the same PC but cannot send resources between those two accounts.

Moral Dilema

:
I raided the nearest player to me with 2 guys, got about 20 of each resource and discovered she has no defence. So i attacked again. Got another 20 of each. So now i have 2 options:
1) Continously attack her - which feels a bit nasty

2) Leave her to build up her resouces - which she will likely use on troops to raid me

What do i do

destroy her untill she gives up and you have a free raid source

I farmed my closest neighbours dry , then raided further a field for a couple of days.

Have just gone back to pick up the resources they built up over the two days.
