Had a similar thing happen. was trading a 1000 wood for 1200 wheat...
Now only have one of my two merchants, my goods are gone and nothing to show for it :( Dont know if the poor bugger got lost (was a touch over a 2 hr walk each way) or mugged or ?

Sam C

I put mine on the market 6+ hours ago.

Guess i got mugged by the same bug that got yours

Pretty successful day!

Half my resources are level 4 now, rest are 3... Should get bulk of the others no 4 tomorrow.

Second cranny will be level 9 in about 48 minutes, should make level 10 tomorrow.

I plan on balancing resource production/cranny security such that I have nothing for people to take if its left alone overnight.

Thanks to emailiscrap for the wheat.

I'll be building another embassy sometime (hopefully today). I have two places already reserved, but there might be one free for someone else. Anyone?

Right, I'm being overtaken in the OcUK alliance leaderboard and I want to know why!! ;) Is the quickest and easiest way to grow, to go out and continually raid villages? I'm doing this but I only get 50 or 60 of each resource at a time :(.

how many troops are you attacking with? my raiding party is 23 phalanx's and I get on average 200 of each resource from a raid. then i'm blowing it on buildings and upgrades. bear in mind that only buildings that have a wheat consumption add to your population. a stable adds 4 where a wheat field upgrade adds none.

lozza - I think this is where a player quits. if you look at your attack history, where it had the village name, it will now show "unoccupied oasis". this has happened to me a few times now. I feel kind of guilty that the frequency of my raiding has made them quit...

i went back to the map to find some more from a list I started yesterday (all within an hour and low pops)

3 of them have dissapeared. trying some harder targets now. see how far I can push it.

better get thinking about scouts...oh wait, romans dont have scouts?
or am I missing something in the FAQ?

A useful tip to hide resources. If you have a marketplace, sell 500 clay for something like 1000 wheat. The total resource is reduced by 500. You can cancel this anytime and what's more if somebody is stupid enough to actually trade 1000 wheat for 500 clay then you get a bucket load of resources for nothing :)

My trader blokes can only carry 500 resources so that's the maximum I have put, I think upgraded marketplaces allow traders to carry more.

I do this every-time I go to work and when I come home I cancel the trades and use the resources.

Equites Legati

Prerequisites: Academy level 5, Stable level 1
The Equites Legati is the roman reconnaissance troops. They are pretty fast and can spy for resources and troops. If there are no scouts, Equites Legati or pathfinders in the scouted village, the attack remains unnoticed or if you don't loose any of your own.

* Research: 940 Lumber, 740 Clay, 360 Iron, 400 Crop, Length: 01:55:00
* Velocity: 16 Fields/Hour
* Load capacity: 0 Resources
* Upkeep: 2 Crop per hour
* Length of training: 0:28:20 for stable level 1

Uh-oh, I just sat down and actually started to plan out my village in the long term and have realised I won’t have enough space for the things I think a capital should have! Is there any way you can destroy a building? The only thing I can think of is to get someone from the alliance to use a catapult to destroy something you think is obsolete. Anyone have any ideas or care to share their build plans?

My plan is as follows:

3x Cranny
1x Granary
1x Warehouse
1x Embassy
1x Grain Mill
1x Iron Foundry
1x Saw Mill
1x Academy
1x Stable
1x Barracks
1x Hero's Mansion
1x Workshop
1x Blacksmith
1x Armoury
1x Palace
1x Stonemason

This doesn’t leave room for:

1x Town hall
1x Tournament Square

I think the FAQ said that certain building can be destroyed once your main building is high enough, or when you get a palace or something.

think you can demolish stuff once main building is level 10

so maybe demolish the embassy as you have allready joined and the academy once you have researched all the troops ?

If they was in your position, the majority would do the same. The game just works around being the school-yard bully.

Raid or be raided!

One of my targets has also turned into an Occupied Oasis overnight :(

I farmed him to death :D

No guilt here :p

i am running out of speedy local targets.

what is everyones average distance here?

my current one is drying up. 40 min round trip :)

imagine not everyone is so lucky.

edit:
only got 8 legionarres anyways.

now question.

I seem to be having a lot of luck trading my excess wheat for all other resoures at better than 1:1.

should I
a. try to make more and more wheat
b. try to up the other resources to compensate

not too sure. see I reckon trading wheat will always be a strong point...because people just run out all the time. its the only thing you NEED.

My current target is a 1hour 40min round trip :(

Farmed all my close targets , and the South West sector is pretty full of OcUK members.
