Great Covers!

Travis - Hit me baby one more time (Britney cover)
Sex Pistols - My way (amusing!)
Muse - Please Please Please Let Me Get what I want (Smiths cover)

Also Nouvelle Vague do some good covers

Goldfinger - 99 red balloons

Agreed on both.

Umbrella (Rihannah Cover) - Biffy Clyro. Made me realise how good the lyrics are.
Don't Get Me Wrong - Lily Allen. Just seems to work.
Father & Son - The Enemy. Made me love this song.
Don't Look Back Into The Sun (Libertines Cover) - The View. Prefer the original though.
On The Street Where You Live - Mr. Hudson & The Library
Kiss Me (Sixpence None The Richer) - New Found Glory. I like the original and the cover.

Jon

Sex Pistols - No Fun (originally by the Stooges)
Banshees - Helter Skelter (originally by the Beatles)
Splodgenessabounds - Two Little Boys

and of course another vote for Jimi's All Along the Watchtower - supposedly so good that the first time Bob Dylan heard it on his car radio he stopped the car to listen to it properly.

Being sensible for a second, I'll agree with those who posted the Jimi Hendrix version of "All Along The Watchtower".

Being slightly less sensible - Hayseed Dixie's cover of Ace Of Spades :D

Barefoot - Born Slippy
One of those covers where you don't really realise what it is until you get a little way in to it.

Metallica - Whiskey in the Jar

(Funeral for a Friend/Love Lies Bleeding) - Dream Theater
(The Rover/Achilles Last Stand/The Song Remains the Same) - Dream Theater

The Sisters of Mercy cover of a Hot Chocolate song :D "Emma"

(Sounds like an early demo)

Quite like The Sisters cover of "Gimme Shelter" as well.

Keeping the Sisters theme going, LOL

Comfortably Numb which then leads into Some Kind of Stranger

Although Von's singing does let him down in a few places, LOL :D

Is it only me that likes NIN's version of Hurt over Cash's? Have to agree with what was said about Fear Factory they don't really cover a song they just mimic it.

Passive isnt really a cover is it? It was ment to be Tapeworms song but APC preformed it live without the other band members or so i read.

Best cover though... Tool - You Lied

Passive was a tapeworm song yeah... Maynard was involved in the writing of it so I wouldn't say it's a "cover" exactly.
