Thinking of buying an OcUK Ultima Edge Core i7 when the configuration page is fixed.

Good spec? Mainly for games (Crysis + L4D now, HL2: E3 etc in the future).

Has to provide enough oomph to run games at 1920x1200.

Silverstone Temjin TJ07B with Window - Black
Intel Core i7 940 2.93GHz Processor
Akasa AK-967 Nero Core i7 Performance Cooler
Asus P6T Deluxe Intel X58 DDR3 Motherboard
6GB Triple Channel DDR3
Nvidia GeForce GTX 280 1024MB GDDR3
Western Digital VelociRaptor 10000RPM 150GB SATA II
Seagate Barracuda 7200RPM 500GB SATA II
Pioneer 20x DVD±RW Dual Layer ReWriter
Corsair TX 750W Power Supply
Microsoft Windows Vista Home Premium 64-Bit

Ta very much!

I'd save your money and just get the 920, apparantly they clock just as well
Also the 260 is much better bang for buck and will more than likely suffice your needs, unless you specifically want to pay the premium for a marginal performance increase. Your other option would be to wait and look at the 295's due out later this week, what you save on the CPU you could prob afford one, though dont know how good they are yet
Rest of it looks good, but other thing, if it was me personally, I'd get a SSD for my O/S then the Samsung Spinpoint F1 1Tb for storage

I woudl agree with the 920 to be honest.... dont bother with the SSD though, I dont think that you would notice the difference and they are very expensive at the moment... also wouldnt go with a Raptor...

Awesome. :) What reasons are there for not getting a raptor? I thought they used to be the dogs danglers? What would you suggest as an alternative?

I have two and believe me you dont notice the difference in speed between them and a normal HDD, with or without them being RAID'd... spend the money on a bigger GPU (4870x2) :) or a 1Tb HDD :)
