Greenlizard0 Boxing Day Football Thread ** spoilers ** [26 - 27th December 2011]

Just one of those games I guess, couldn't get behind them and so had to find a way through the bus, and when we did Hennessy saved it anyway. Joining the club of Christmas games ending in a draw because the bus-parking was great. Arsenal 1 - Wayne Hennessy 1.

Arsenal v Wolves
Liverpool v Blackburn
Chelsea v Fulham

All guaranteed home bankers there, so glad I stayed away from the bookies over xmas!!!

I don't think Spurs could have dreamt all three of their closest rivals would drop points in these games.

cant believe all three ptential "4th spot" teams dont really want that place, these are the games to maximise the gap (or pull back the gap) after all

all a bit meh

Don't forget City drew 0-0 as well with WBA. Classic Christmas lethargy methinks... in Spain they have their feet up for a week or two, over here we're piling as many games into as short a period as possible. Our game was full of effort but lacking in execution (a bit), and their keeper had a blinder, it happens. As Wenger said, you could play that game 20 times and we'd have won 19 of them (although I think his sub choice was poor and contributed to the result, slightly). Not like we've drawn a load of games in a row as was typical a few seasons ago.
