Greenlizard0 Boxing Day Football Thread ** spoilers ** [26 - 27th December 2011]

What instructions are refs given regarding playing advantages? It seems like providing your team keeps the ball, it's an advantage :/

Just then Norwich could have had a free-kick ~20 yards from goal in a good position to put a cross in the box but instead the ref played on with the ball falling to another Norwich player who was being closed down.

technically it's just having the ball under control rather than being in an advantageous position. The theory being that if you have the ball under control you can create anything with it.

If that's the case then it's ridiculous. You're effectively being penalised in certain situations because the ball falls to one of your teammates.

The ref had no chance of seeing that. Its nothing compared to the manu defence for corners eps vidic.

Can see this being a bore draw, spurs are virtually throwing the kitchen sink at the norwich defence

Us getting a clean sheet? That'd be remarkable. There are goals in this..

Is Adebayor thick?

Modric has the ball on the wing so he can cross, so Ade playing lone striker at 6ft+ decides to go out to the wing with him.... get in the ******* box you divvy! Does it all the time.
