Greenlizard0 PL & Championship Football Thread ** spoilers ** [11th - 15th February 2023]

Well well. Is martinelli still worth 180k? Hehe

This is why i kinda said how we should not offer players over 150k until they have something to show for it this season.

I hope they still can show something this season but title? Na no chance. Congrats to city for winning the title again

36% possession can't be that common for a Pep side.

The 'penalty' annoyed me in the sense of even if it hadn't been offside, when you watch the replay, Gabriel is ahead of Haaland, but Haaland then pulls him back in a spinning motion meaning that gabriels arm comes across him. It's kinda like the equivalent of tailgating someone in a car, then clipping their rear corner as you pull out so they spin and then the side of their car blocks you and saying they are at fault.

It always surprises me about how weird you are. Say you're an Arsenal fan, but gloat about something like that? Just absolutely bizarre.

Gloating about what?

Why are we offering title type wages to players who have not even gone and won it or even battled for a few for a whole seasoon(not just the first 19 games)

Check the arsenal thread for a bit more info.

I personally am not a fan of giving our players silly wages comparable to grielesh etc who actually have at least won stuff to merit earning 180+ wages but that seems bad for me to have that opinion.

Honestly hope Arsenal pull themselves out of whatever ruckus they’re in and start winning again.

Law of averages. Arteta is a mid to low 50 win percentage manager. He has gone from 8,8,5 league position whilst only really adding Zinchenko to the team as Jesus has been injured for most of it. I think the lack of games Arsenal had to play last season has meant the team were a lot more fresh and that is why they came out of the blocks quickly but now the games are coming thick and fast and it is catching up with them. Historically City have always been strong in the business end due to them being cheating scum but that's another discussion.

The fact they put on folen just like that from sub is silly.

Can't believe how strong city the squad is. How can arsenal Liverpool or man United compete with that...

Was is a shock that once City stopped farting about with players in wrong positions with silly formations they then played better and won?

I think you might need to think about this a little more. How can their game in hand compared to City be their game against City? You recognise that when they play that game, City will be playing one too, yes?

I think you misunderstood what I mean. The game against City is a 6 pointer and as City are on top on goal difference if City beat them in the return fixture it doesn't matter what Arsenal do with their game in hand. City will still be top of the table on goal difference. My main point is the title is in City's control now as long as they match Arsenal game for game and win the head to head at home.
