That was before Andy Carroll starting performing and I have also looked into the teams and what players are going to the world cup. Liverpool will benefit massively by the rest they will get. If it was a normal season then maybe I would have stuck by my original point because of their form.

Man United

Shaw, Varane, Martinez, Casimero, Erikson, Rashford, Fred, Antony and Bruno are all going and in teams that could all make it quite deep into the comp. That is 8 out of ten of our outfield first 10 going. You also have the massive risk of one of those picking up an injury.

Liverpool get to rest Salah, Robertson, Bobby and Thiago which will be a huge boost for them.

Obviously something like this has never happened before so will be interesting to see how the restart happens. If Brazil win the world cup players will be coming back absolutely buzzing which will benefit Liverpool and United as we both have a decent sized Brazilian contingent.

Hopefully benefits us too. 3 of our first teamers are Brazilian.

The break means ESR should be back as well, which could prove handy in the Europa

Not winning the title won’t be a choke. Look at the strength City have, they have proven before how they can go on ridiculous runs when chasing a title.

When you haven't won it for decades it is. Just look at Spurs. 2015-17 was their prime time to win some silverware and they choked big time. Hopefully Arsenal are not Spurs though as I wouldn't want City winning 3 in a row.

I genuinely love you Adam. This is in no way meant as an insult but I sometimes picture you as this stereotypical latin american football supporter that wears his heart on his sleeve. When things are positive you get carried away and go way ott making hugely bold predictions and the slightest swing in the opposite direction and you get carried away and the world is ending.

When your club has been a dominant force for the vast majority of your life you become like that because you do not know how to act. :D

Watching Liverpool be better than you is painful so I always look for a glimmer of hope they are on the verge of collapse :P You had 25 years of it. I am still in the early stages of acceptance.

Apart from one spell in the 90’s where you got lucky to have a bunch of similar aged players all come through at once, the united youth policy hasn’t churned out anything except dross that ends up moving down to smaller clubs.

Years ago I said Rashford was yet another forward that wouldn’t amount to anything. His form is dreadful, years ago it took more than a handful of in form games to get in the England set up as a forward. He has one foot. He’s been incredibly fortunate that the united recruitment has been so poor or this amazing youth academy hasn’t churned out a decent forward that isn’t a complete ****.

Absolutely, in the past Arsenal would fold but they get a decent break for lots of players this year before their traditional January implosion. I've never bought into this 'give City the title it's over' rubbish. City are there for the taking this year. They are weaker as a team than last year and look far the more likely to keep on dropping points, as I've said time and time again. They have conceded 14 goals already and only 26 last year. Arteta carries this on and he's waiting in the wings for the next City managers position.
