Greenlizard0 PL & Championship Football Thread ** spoilers ** [13th - 18th May 2023]

He seemed off from the get go tonight, like he’d just argued with his missus before they went live.
Na, it's Trent. He's had years of seeing people name all time PL teams with Trent ahead of him and he's taken it so personally. Carragher finally said it today, there's never been a player that gets analysed quite like Trent does and it's lead by Neville. He never misses a chance to criticise Trent, regularly ignoring the mistakes made by other fullbacks and having told everybody Trent could never play in midfield he was under pressure today after Trent again ran the show.

I genuinely think if we'd started on this run one game earlier we would, but I can't see United or Newcastle dropping enough points now

You guys are very pessimistic. If I was a pool fan right now I would be very optimistic about my chances. You have won 7 games on the bounce.

Man Utd have dropped points in 3 of our last 5 games. Newcastle 2 out of the last 5. We both need 2 wins out of our final 3 games. Man United form has been absolutely terrible for about two months now.

Newcastle have got Brighton where they can easily drop points so need to win the other two.

Man United cannot get a goal to save their lives. If we beat Bournemouth then I think we will be okay but I am worried about Chelsea and Fulham will be raging for revenge after our FA cup quarter final so if we go into the final game of the season needing a win I will be dreading it.

It's unbelievable how we've gone from a top 10 team to useless

That's some fall from grace, it does make me feel slightly knowing the attention won't be as strong with you going down with us.

Things change quickly these days. A few good or bad years of recruitment can kill you. The league is so competitive and there is so much money (and costs) involved that a lot of clubs are on the edge all the time. If Chelsea didn't have an alright early season they could be in the discussion about relegation

Luton or Coventry in the Premier League :D
Can you imagine Luton in the premier league, that will be a shock to some Premier League footballers. Lutons stadium only has a capacity of 10k, hell one of their entry gates is actually the converted downstairs of a terraced house, I think it will be the smallest stadium in premier league history, dont think anyone has ever had a sub-11k capacity stadium in the PL
