Greenlizard0 PL & Championship Football Thread ** spoilers ** [15th - 17th April 2023]

You can’t deny though being so good for most of the season but possibly throwing right when it matters is a very spursy thing to do.

I think I’d rather be second best all season than throw it away right at the end.
When you got a thin squad you have to rely on not having injuries and now we have injuries in key places at the wrong time

As always, it’s the hope that kills.

City have had a bit of a transitional/iffy year yet they’ll still likely go on to win it now, and they’ll strengthen/get better themselves. I’ll enjoy being in the CL again after all these years, but if ever there was a moment to have a magical season to win a title it was this one. Resigned to it being another Bayern/Bundesliga for the foreseeable. Obviously we could surprise everyone and win at the Etihad but so much of football is emotion and momentum and it’s not looking good for us at the moment, and this is ignoring the media narrative that obviously wants City to win for some reason.
It’s just City either. You can expect the likes of Utd, Newcastle and Liverpool to be stronger next year too.

Still had a great season though regardless wether you win it or not. Beginning of the season a Champs League spot was probably beyond expectations.
