Greenlizard0 PL & Championship Football Thread ** spoilers ** [15th - 17th April 2023]

Pretty remarkable.

Gerrard should never manage in the PL again.

It's astonishing really. It could hardly be more damming knowing that he's playing with almost the exact same squad as Gerrard.

Just a top performance today. One of those freak atmospheres where even City or Arsenal wouldn't have been allowed a thing. I can't remember seeing a player this season fight so hard as Mcginn did for every ball today. He was an absolute monster. Easily the best I've seen him play in the shirt.

Fair play. Villa dominated Newcastle today, all over the pitch.

What is more damming is that same manager went unbeaten in the Scottish League. Just goes to show how bad the SPL is.

I agree to a point but you're comparing a World Class manager that's been in the game for 18 years, has experience managing top clubs all over Europe and has won 4 European trophies with a manager that's been in the game for 4 years and has managed the footballing equivalent of the Dog and Ducks second 11 in a Sunday league.

I don't know whether Gerrard will become a good manager or not but he's got plenty of time to fail and plenty of time to come good. Villa was certainly way too soon in his managerial career though and that's on him.
