Greenlizard0 PL & Championship Football Thread ** spoilers ** [15th - 17th Dec 2020]

I watched him last season. I think he's an excellent player. People on here are too quick to judge signings from abroad, some need longer to adapt than others. I still remember when Drogba was a joke in his first season.

I agree that people watch one game on here and happily flaunt that so and so is so bad. I think Havertz has had long enough for people to review him though, which is fair enough when you look at the likes of Pepe/Pogba etc, who could similar and get slaughtered week in week out.

Although Lampard is probably killing him, he look like player who should be sat behind the striker, he's playing in a 3 with Kante and another player who isn't half as affective in CM but seemingly will never drop, Mount? Kovacic looked brilliant last season, what happened to him? Maybe Jorginho should be given a chance over Kante too, someone with a real technical ability and not just a runner.

A lot of defenders just don't understand how to professional foul anymore.

Fernandinho should give lessons on it when he retires. "How to foul as much as you like without getting even a yellow until at least the 80th minute".

One the the things that really stood out watching the end of the game last night was how much City dived and went down at even the slightest hint of contact vs West Brom staying on their feet and fighting to win the ball or keep it. The problem is that refs give all those ridiculous "fouls" and you get nothing unless you dive.

There's a long way to go and Liverpool's team is cabbaged but I reckon whoever wins tonight will go on to win the league. So lets hope for a high scoring draw :p

Spurs will drop off a cliff if Kane or Son have a spell out though. Hojbjerg has also made a huge difference. Southampton's coaching is ridiculous.

Spurs won't get anywhere near the title even if Kane and Son remain injury free. They will simply draw too many games. They will draw too many games and the players will turn on Mourinho when his turgid football isn't getting results and he turns into a grumpasaurus again.

4 changes to the line up, 2 forced through suspension.

I'd argue all 4 of those changes were needed and hopefully the kids can show Arteta why they deserve to start. That or they'll show us why they've not been picked despite how crap we are atm. ESR and Balogun don't even make the bench. We're unbeaten in 25 league home games against soton....

We were doing okay when the games revolved around not conceding and then nicking a goal on the counter, but the moment the shackles were released a bit... it’s all gone horribly wrong, like the honeymoon period of the late-Wenger/Emery dross playing above their level stopped abruptly and it became clear again why the likes of Xhaka etc need to be replaced ASAP.

Also 2nd worst in the league at progressing the ball from midfield, and it was either worst or 2nd worst out of all 92 teams in the football league at scoring 2nd half goals... only way from here is up?
