Greenlizard0 PL & Championship Football Thread ** spoilers ** [16th - 18th September 2022]

even in the Arsenal/Man Utd domination years we wouldn't generally have runaways like City have done.

City haven't been running away with it. Even this year despite Haaland they look likely to lose more points than they did last year or the year before. From their 6 premiership titles they:

Drew on points
Won by 2 points
Won by 19 points
Won by 1 point
Won by 12 points
Won by 1 point

Sandwiched in between that lot, Liverpool won a title by 18 points, Chelsea's biggest by 13 points, Leicester by 10 points and Man U by 10 points.

City have been far from runaways and they won't be this year either. Only two of their titles was won at a canter.

I feel like its lambs to the slaughter this evening for us. A perfect game for Son to kick his season off as we are the gift that keeps on giving.

The only light is that we might finally be rid of Brenton

Did they do away with the yellow card when retaking the penalty for encroachment? It was the Euro's wasn't it where they dished out a fair few?
