Isn’t that investigation more to do with city have tried to hide it and cheatedI'm not sure anybody has been fined by the PL regarding their profit and sustainability rules however there's an ongoing investigation into City's finances.
Only time will tell but the fact it's been ongoing for a number of years now and they're not dropping it, despite City's best efforts to challenge every stage of the process tells you they're at least taking it seriously.ah yeah, my bad it was uefa wasn't it. Nothing will happen with the PL's 'investigation'
The PL's investigation is into the leaked documents alleging that City cooked the books in order to meet FFP. UEFA's case was thrown out by CAS because their own rules placed a time limit on charges to be brought however the PL have no such rules.Isn’t that investigation more to do with city have tried to hide it and cheated
Many clubs(including Newcastle) will be watching with great interest to see what Citys punishment is as they look to already have set the standard with EvertonOnly time will tell but the fact it's been ongoing for a number of years now and they're not dropping it, despite City's best efforts to challenge every stage of the process tells you they're at least taking it seriously.

What sort of punishments the PL will dish out for breaches of their rules remain to be seen however you can look at Everton who probably, slightly did break the rules but allege they didn't* to see that marginal cases are likely to be dealt with informally, with spending limits placed on a club.
*Everton's case is complicated due to covid.
There's nothing standard about the Everton case. Any breach would have been small, if at all and it's massively complicated by covid. It's incredibly difficult to quantify the true cost of covid which is what helped Everton. Covid wasn't a factor in City's case in years previous or will be forbNewcastle moving forwards. Many clubs(including Newcastle) will be watching with great interest to see what Citys punishment is as they look to already have set the standard with Everton
We nearly did! Took a lengthy appeal and a penalty to salvage the draw. Point being for all the dominance we relied on that bit of luck to rescue a point at home to a newly promoted side who posed very little danger. There is still so much work to do to strengthen the team and without the two key players missing their is no effective plan B but yes, progress, of sorts. League table isn't lying, Newcastle are bang average. Wilson should be back for Fulham though, would love to see Howe play 2 up top.In the past these are games (Wolves, Palace and Bournemouth) that we would have lost due to the other team nicking it at the end. So we are progressing and once we have Wilson, Bruno and ASM we will start winning those games
