Greenlizard0 PL & Championship Football Thread ** spoilers ** [16th-19th Oct 2020]

Serious flaw in the laws that allows Pickford to get away with that challenge on VVD. For those blaming VAR, there's nothing they can do - as soon as it's offside then, unless its violent conduct, anything that happens after no longer exists.

As for the game, we've been the better side and should be ahead. If we keep playing like that we should go on to win.

So if I dive in two footed and injure someone after the whistle has gone for offside I will always get away with it?

If its a VAR issue then that should be changed. If the ref can't punish the player that should be changed.

If the ref hasn't seen that he should be retired. That was an awful attempt to get the ball and is a red all day long.

According to Dale Johnson, unless its considered violent conduct then yes you can. Peter Walton has disagreed with him though but I'd generally trust Dale over him. If that's the case then there is a serious flaw in the laws.

Completely agree, just seem weird to highlight it when I probably happens in 99% of games and I bet you've not highlighted before haha

I highlight it everytime that I see a player waving an imaginary card, I hate it. Then again I also hate playacting and even the concept of taking the ball to the corner to "run the clock down". In fact I complain about these things so often when they occur that people generally roll their eyes and say here he goes again :D

Its absolutely bonkers. If DCL is played through but hes clearly offside Adrian can just clean him out? Insane.

I dont think hes walking off like that if it is.

I walked off after doing mine. It's not a massively painful injury - don't think the ligament has much in the way of nerves and no blood supply. Remember when Wilson partially did his for Bournemouth at Stoke before getting back on the pitch and then it fully ruptured.

Mine went by jarring it.

Haha fair enough, I also hate play acting and time wasting, also professional fouls etc.
