I know I’m just saying. Newcastle had 14 shots off target and 4 on target with 10 men for most of the game. Very few teams will be that profligate.

Still, what’s it to me anyway. You ain’t catching us, that’s all I should really care about. And I don’t mean that in a snide way.

Jota looked good when he came on, having VVD back, even if his form has fallen off a cliff post injury, is still way better than Gomez or Matip and Alisson's not only our best keeper but the Premier Leagues best ever keeper.

Jamie Redknapp is genuinely an idiot. He's trying to argue that if Pope was an outfield player it would have been a yellow - no it wouldn't Jamie, it would have been a red because he's denied a clear goalscoring opportunity.
 
Redknapp isn't really getting it. Longstaff would be the GK in this situation so say 1 v 1 on Salah.

If an outfield player had done it the GK would still be in goal so in theory 1v 2

Redknapp saying the defender getting back is right, if the bloody keeper is still in the goal though.

Some pundits really do steal a living. State the obvious, wheel out a few cliches and if you're a Chris Sutton/Robbie Savage type say something controversial just to stir people up.

Just back from the game and TBH I’m not as disappointed as I was at about the 20min mark, Liverpool were very poor when we went down to 10 men which was surprising as they were cutting us apart with our high line and the ball over the top before that, we have to start taking our chances again and hopefully with bruno back we will do that. I’m not sure if it would have been more of a blessing if they did score a couple more as we hopefully would have gone out with a point to prove next week after a tanking a home, Only time will tell I guess, but hopefully ManU didnt see how effective the ball over the top was against us and carried on with their tippytappy and wide play.

I’m actually not that worried about Loris Karius coming in for the final im sure Liverpool fans will correct me but I don’t remember him being a bad goalkeeper, apart from the champions league final(probably enough to destroy the confidence of any keeper)

There was effort and few players put in an extremely good shift. Complete contrast from last week.

would have had a goal or two only for Allison.

After that what ever the result we only have the league games to manage.

One thing that was shown today is Sven Botman is an absolute Colossus, but he isn’t blessed in the pace department, we have to bring in a right sided centre back in the summer that has pace as the ball over the top today absolutely killed us.
 
Not the best prep week before a cup final! Dear me.
That team certainly seems to have hit a wall. I keep saying it but without a 100% Wilson and no Bruno that is a very average side.
 
Forest suddenly deciding that they had no reason not to try playing like their opponents was amazing. Smash one in then play like you've got a bet on yourself to win 1-0. Keep it up berties.
