Greenlizard0 PL & Championship Football Thread ** spoilers ** [18th - 20th October 2022]

Positioning and footwork are the building blocks for saves, claims, interceptions etc. Being in the right place to save the shots isn't as easy as it looks.

You watch someone like Kepa when he was rubbish and his footwork was awful. I think they've worked on him with that as it's looked better recently.

Isn't a top striker supposed to account for this though?

All just shows UTD should have just released him, this chaos its causing was always gonna happen.

Is there any indication Ronaldo was happy to accept that? There is no way we should be paying him to leave, that's what he wants. You can't just release a player under contract, you have to pay them the full length of their remaining contract.

Good move from the club to effectively suspend him, no doubt at ETH's behest.

He needs shipping off in January, he can't accept he's a shadow of the player he once was. Opportunity to try and get a new striker in too.

Why ship him off and let him get his way? **** him let him rot until the Summer, it’s not like you can’t afford it and it’s the glazers money

It is a sad shame as he was revered by everyone at United. He was Fergies golden egg. He was a fantastic player but a lot of his dedication and upbringing in football was because of Fergie and United. I do not think he would have become the same player without it. His initial move to Real was also a personal one as at the time United were a better team and it made no sense. A little bit of loyalty would have been nice then but like other players before for example Cantona they cannot really be managed but you put up with it for their immense talent which unfortunately Ronaldo is beginning to lose.

I have to admire Ronaldo for giving the Prem a second go at his age. Not running away to an easier league.
